Anti-Palin Book to Look Strikingly Similar to Palin's Own Book

She does not need help getting media exposure, she courts the media more than enough herself.

You're right, she is doing a good job, they're even making new threads about her on debate forums....

Thank you F. Lee Bailey. Where'd you get your law degree, Walmart?:doh;)

Palin is a public figure who gets photographed all the time. A photojournalist would own the copywrite.

The similarity to the cover of Palin's book cover is the only issue. Palin's publisher could argue that a customer might pick up the dark cloud nightmare book by mistake. But even that's a stretch since many book covers looks similar and it is up to the customer to actually read the title of the book he/she plans to purchase.

In which case, the attorney for Palin's publisher could argue that people likely to purchase Palin's book are not too bright and a can't read above a 4th grade level.

If the essays are of the humorous variety, which is very likely because well... Palin is just so funny...in a scary way, then the book would be considered a parody or satire of Palin's book. Case closed, end of story.

Good luck with your BIG legal action...
Where's you get your law degree? It's spelled copyright.

I do, in fact the second one on the list was started by a conservative. At one time a month or so ago I did an actual count, and about a third of Palin threads where started by those who identified as conservatives.

I would point out that if you did a similar search for Obama, or Pelosi, or Reid, or Clinton, you would probably find that most are started by conservatives. Wonder what that tells us?

your search failed again...

Pelosi, Obama, reid, and Clinton are all national politicians. Palin was a VP runner up former governer.......

You alls infatuation with her is disturbing.

Ok, so it's time to stop linking to searches since it does not work any more for some reason. That sucks.

So you are saying running for VP does not make you a national politician? I think her book is selling in more than just Alaska, I think she has tried to make herself a force in the health care debate(and failed), I think she courts the national press. I think as a likely presidential candidate in 2012, she counts as a national politician.

And again, I am not infatuated with her, I think she is amusing and an easy target is all. It's similar to the rights attitude with Pelosi.

While I also despise pretty much everything about Hillary, she may have indeed been a better president than Obama. That's nothing to Hillary's credit, it just goes to demonstrate how ****ty of a President Obama is. I think I'd rather have Bush back if we could nix Cheney.
then how would bush be able to walk and talk?

except pelosi is still on the stage, and i'd wager she has a few more brain cells. in all fairness, palin wasn't ready for her role in the elections. it remains to be seen if she can ready herself for any other office. i'm doubtful, though, outside alaska.

As this article and book demonstrate, Palin is still "on the stage" as well, it's just an unelected stage, which is the only stage she is going to have.

Which god would that be?

Any that are willing to help out.

Not that it is a worry, Palin is unelectable. She would get the conservative vote, but not the centrist votes she would need to get elected, and obviously not the liberal vote.

She is no more bigger than Geraldine Ferrarro.

Great, that leave more for me.

Which has to do with the rediculous amout of venom thrown at a former vice presidential canidate.

I honestly don't like her. I want the GOP to pull out a competent, small government candidate; someone I can get behind. Palin was being touted as the second coming of conservatism or whatever, but she's an idiot. It's not venom, it's the truth. Venom wore a black suit and was evil...though not as evil as Carnage. I just want all the talk of Palin in total to end, I don't want people thinking she could be what the GOP needs. They don't, they need to return to their roots, they need to focus on small, controlled, responsible government. And they need an intelligent candidate with the resolve to bring these things. The less we talk about Palin, the more we allow her to drift into obscurity, the better.

If you're going to use their image for commercial purposes, yes, they need o release to you the right to use their image to make money.

Not really. With the invention of the internet news agencies use images for commercial purposes ALL the time. Images only subscribes can use, images used in news papers etc. Putting an image on ANYTHING you're selling would make it a commercial purpose.

You don't seriously think that's a good analogy, do you?

Can you explain how it's faulty in any way? Is it not up to the customer to check the merchandise?
