READY TO REVOLT: Oath Keepers pledges to prevent dictatorship in United States

You claim that you can find those comments in speeches from any political ideology, so let's see'em.

Talk of a glorious revolution? References to hope and change? I'm not exactly, specifically, what to grab.:doh

I think you may have painted yourself into a corner and now you're dancing.

All I'm saying is, name your criteria so i don't pull something and you respond with "well yes, but that doesn't count".

You've already named the criteria, so now it's your job to support your comments. I promise I won't say, "well yes, but that doesn't count".

does this count, by Mr. Reagan?

...I have always believed that there was some divine plan that placed this great continent between two oceans to be sought out by those who were possessed of an abiding love of freedom and a special kind of courage...

Somehow America has bred a kindliness into our people unmatched anywhere...We are not a sick society. A sick society could not produce the men that set foot on the moon...

We cannot escape our destiny, nor should we try to do so. The leadership of the free world was thrust upon us two centuries ago in that little hall of Philadelphia. In the days following World War II, when the economic strength and power of America was all that stood between the world and the return to the dark ages, Pope Pius XII said, "The American people have a great genius for splendid and unselfish actions. Into the hands of America God has placed the destinies of an afflicted mankind."

does this count, by Mr. Reagan?

That's no where close to same theme that we've heard from Hitler and PBO. Where's the, "hope-n-change", punchline? Where's the, "this country if ****ed up and I'm going to re-make it in my own image", trigger? It's not there.

Reagan talks about how this is great nation, not, "it could be great if it wasn't so screwed up".

See, this is why I was asking for clarification.

Thank you for the non sequiter.

No it is not a non sequitur. You were asking for clarification, I gave it to you, problem is you don't want to acknowledge it.

That's not my problem now is it?

Here is some clarification for you, Reagan believed in American Exceptionalism, Obama clearly does not.

Actually I think that they both beleive in American "Exceptionalism" it is just that they both had/have diferent roads to get there. They both had/have an insprational message that they imparted(ing) upon the nation. They are from diferent political sectors but they both wanted/want what is best for their country. Blind parisans from both corners of the extremes will either not see what I say as the truth or will deny it ti others and themselves. So be it !!!

Is there something wrong with that list?

Great list but it is a list with a solution to problems that did not and do not exist except maybe in the paranoid dark gutters of some minds.

So the Michigan Militia is back with a new name. How wonderful.

Whether, or not, Joe was an actual plumber is irrelevant. What is relevant, is that an O-bot abused her position in the government to perform an illegal investigation and illegally release personal information on Joe.

Joe didn't pay his property taxes? I didn't know that. Gotta link?

Plumbo's property tax saga was well reported and documented. ASK Google man, and ye shall recieve info.

I agree to some extent. I find, however, that the right's exaggerations are worse than anything the left does. That's my biased opinion. Concentration camps. Are you serious?

OMG of course there are Concentration camps that is where the people selected by the DEATH PANELS will be sent ....

I can't help but find all of this rather hilarious and ironic. Bush is President and many people on the left think the world is going to end and worry about a dictatorship. Many compared him to a nazi as seen on several protest signs. In fact, I remember many people thinking that he would try to extend presidential term limits so he could be our President even longer. People on the right just laughed and rightfully so at these paranoid freaks.

Now that the tables have turned and we have a Democratic President many of the same people who were laughing are now freaking out thinking that the world is going to end and are worrying about a dictatorship. We have people like Glenn Beck crying his eyes out on his show worrying about the end of this country simply because Obama is President.

What is the moral of the story? Both sides of the political spectrum are full of **** and are willing to use hyperbole to serve their personal agendas.

I remember that there were schmoes who claimed that Clinton was going to "cancel" the 2000 election. They even told us what the the executive order number was - 357/84563008/ B, so yes there are indeed elements in both camps whose elevators never reach the top floor.

Let us face the facts here and see that this group Oath Keepers is for the most part made up of people who are well meaning and want to do what is best for the country. Yet they are ready to swing into action to solve problems and conditions that have not and do not exist. The dangerous people are the small minority of the Oath Keepers leadership who know that the problems and conditions have not and do not exist that this group is ready to act upon but they are fanning the flames of false danger for reasons that only they know for sure and we can logicall surmise.

When did Oth keepers start? What was the event that caused the organization to form ? Just asking !!

Well, that is a pretty convenient scenario you have constructed for yourself isn't it now? If someone disagrees with you then they are the dismissible? Hmmmm....great way to win all arguments, at least in your own minds eye eh?

Nooooooo, PBO doesn't believe in American exceptionalism. He believes that everything wrong with the world is America's fault, hence the Apology Tour '09.
