Arctic ice cap 'to disappear in future summers'

Got it... beings it is getting cooler proves it is getting warmer.

Uhhhh.... I don't get it.

You're not supposed to get it. You're just supposed to put the blinders on and stay in step.

Actually, it's cooling. The ice caps are thickening. And the Polar Bear population is increasing.

But carry on. Never let facts get in the way of a good Boogie Man story.

Or the chance to increase taxes and grow government!!!!!!

OK.... do we start with our right foot, or our left?

And science has become directly positioned behind movements that lead to grants and political power.

There is no science to global warming. Just politics.

Global Warming is all about money, IMO. There are billions of dollars on the table for those who support the Global Warming hoax. The government has already spent billions on GM research.

The climate being warmer causes stored cold water (ice) to melt and become mixed in our global climate, thus making for cooler weather for the short time that it takes the newly cold water to warm in the oceans.

If you drop ice in a pool it dramatically cools the water around where the ice was dropped. The coolness fades as the water in that area spreads and mixes with the warmer water around it and later becomes warm itself by the sun. The water was turned temporarily cooler due to the ice melting from the warming around it. It's not that hard to understand.

In the service, we always stepped off on our left foot. SO, that's probably what we have to do to stay in lockstep with the Libbos.

Does anyone else think that the science isn't quite as settled as Algore would like us to think?

U.S. Scientist Sees New Ice Age Coming

Washington Post and Science magazine

The world could be as little as 15 or 25 years away from a disastrous new ice age, a leading atmospheric scientist predicts. Dr. S. I. Rasool of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and Columbia University used a computer program by his colleague, Prof. James Hansen, that studied clouds above Venus.

By 2021, fossil-fuel dust injected by man into the atmosphere could screen out so much sunlight that the average temperature could drop by six degrees, resulting in a buildup of new glaciers that could eventually cover huge areas.

What freedoms?

My freedom to own a toilet big enough to flush a Thanksgiving turd. My freedom to own a truck, or a boat, or a mototcycle, or keep my thermostat where I want it, you name it.

Please point to any part of the constitution or a law which says the government lacks the right to regulate those behaviors.

Which of those freedoms are being infringed on? Is it illegal for you to own a truck, motorcycle, or boat?

The toilet and thermostat items have nothing to to do Global warming and everything to do with energy conservation for the energy suppliers to be able to keep up with the demands of the populace and be as efficient waste wise as possible. This isn't governmental though. It's dictated by the companies you CHOOSE to purchase services from.

Well, Al Gore's net wealth has increased from $1 million to $100 million since he watched Bush be inaugurated.

I need me some global warming, too, for my bank account.

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."

Show me where in the Constitution where the government has the authority to regulate what property I own.

As far as my thermostat goes,

"guards against searches, arrests, and seizures of property without a specific warrant or a "probable cause" to believe a crime has been committed."

If I'm paying the bill, I have the inaliable right to set my thermostat where ever I please.

To be eligible for that the government must be doing something to remove your right. What law is removing your right to own a truck, boat, or motorcycle?

What law removes your right to adjust your thermostat?

I've been trying to get some folks together and start a solar and wind power business. I'm going to get me some of that global warming, too.

Based on the direction from the supplier that you are paying the service for.

None, yet. The day is coming, though.

I don't receive direction from anyone in regard to what my thermostat is set on.

You do on the amount of power/energy you are allowed to consume within a specific pay period.

The resources you use to do all the things you do are not public property, but private. You pay a water bill, an electricity bill, and you buy fuel from a company to power your vehicles. They can cut you off at any time they see fit.

Furthermore, there is no right which prevents the government from regulating the way you acquire those things. You aren't entitled to them under the Constitution. Those resources are subject to supply and demand which falls under the economic domain, not the government domain. The Constitution has nothing to do with what private companies do and don't give you; it is a set of limitations on government.

So our freedoms are just hypothetical being infringed on? Good to know.

PBO isn't going after the oil companies, thereby killing jobs? He didn't nationalize the auto industry and mandate that they stop building certain vehicles? Slowly, but surely, our rights are being infringed on.

What rights do you lose by companies making a car have 25 MPG instead of 15?

They can cut me off if I don't pay the bill, but they can't cut me off at will.

I'm entitled to own whatever legal property I choose.
