Supply and demand determines the nature of the property you own, such as whether or not you own a fuel efficiency vehicle, or care about the environment. The government doesn't force you to do anything. If a green marketing is opening up, it's because manufacturers think it's a good idea.
There is nothing infringing your freedoms to buy whatever you want or pursue happiness, so enough with the mundane exaggerations already.
The government doesn't have the right to control the market in such a manner that goods that are in demand aren't available. Doing so would violate my right to own property.
