That's understandable. Like certain leaders of past, he appeals to his followers' emotions and irrational prejudices. He attempts to stir anti-Islamic by encouraging the association of Islamic teachings with terrorist acts... if he attempted to demonstrate that Islam was a dangerous religion by putting forth cool-headed and rational arguments, he'd have my ear.

It would go to far to tell you what problems we have and how our government has been failing to deal with these problems. It's a mixed bag, he says the dumbest things but he's also right on few sensitive isseus.

Similarly, it isn't especially difficult to see that the motivations behind the mistreatment of these groups are not purely religious. Wilders and his ilk would have us believe that every crime perpetrated by a Muslim was committed out of religious devotion.

I understand your sentiment but I don't share it. Wilders argues that Islam could use an enlightenment. Only to follow it by suggesting we bann the Qu'ran and tax the veil. I know, it's not very enlightened. I agree with Wilders when it comes to identifying the problems, I oppose his 'solutions' though.

Why wouldn't I have a problem with him? His claim is that they kill because they have the Qur'an in their hands.

I have a bigger problem with people who kill in the name of their religion than one misguided indivual. You als have to consider the fact that Wilders been living in prisons because of the death threats he gets. I can understand why muslims dislike him, but the aggression towards him only proves him right.

And less free.. no brainer.. cant be free if you have to give up very personal information to gain entry to the country can it now. Remember not only do you have to give the US the information on the site, but as a standard your financial information and other information is shared by European countries on request by the US. So the US could very well know my financial state before I land in the US. I remember that there was a huge bust up back in the day, because the Bush administration also wanted sexual orientation as part of that information.. that was denied.

So yes, it is far less free for an European going to the US than an American coming to Europe. We dont demand personal information or bio metric data or require you announce that you are coming days in advance.

And yes it is an over reaction by the US.

Ya well it's far easier to become a U.S. citizen than a citizen of Denmark. I think that would make us more free than making someone fill out some extra forms to go on vacation.
