Limbaugh's lesson: Words Have Consequences ~
"Words. Five-letter words, three-letter words, or ten-letters words, it doesn’t matter. Words help us tell others what is on our mind and express opinions. Words can be used to compliment or to destroy another’s self-esteem. Every day millions of hurtful words are spoken. Sometimes speakers do not think mere words are dangerous, but they can create something horrible."
"Words can lead to anger and revenge, and can incite people to destroy families, lives, an entire nation. Words spoken on the radio, or in the newspaper, or in the square, can inspire hatred and violence. Before you make a rude or insulting comment about someone who is different from you – be it race, religion, ethnicity, or ability – remember that words are powerful."

I think Limbaugh has learned this lesson quite well. In fact, he's also learned that words which are not true are also often just as powerful as words which are true.
The words that have been verified are sufficient for most.
Nothing wrong with the free market discriminating against racists & assholes, right? Isn't that what a free market is supposed to do?
(unless you prefer central control....you know..like Socialism or Communism??)

Not discrimination eh? Is Olberman still allowed to appear in the name of the NFL?

What is Olbermann's position on this Limbaugh deal?
I don't know, nor do I really care. Olbermann is a giant blow hard, with very little intelligence. But this article I think exposes the hypocrisy at play here.

As far as I know Olberman does commentary for NBC and appears as a regular guest on the Dan Patrick show. The question would be if the NFL has any say on who NBC can or cannot use to do commentary for their games.

You don't know huh?
That's interesting.
What's really funny about your link is that Jeff Poor's ADD kicked in and his summary paragraph had nothing to do with the title of his little blog. :rofl

Look guys it's truth time !!! Limbaugh was not dumped because he is a supposed conservative he was bumped because he is and acts and says things as an A-hole !!!
The crap that he said is percieved as racist. If it isn't then too bad it appaears racist.
If Limbaugh cannot control himself and he brings crap down on hmself and the people he is associated with then he is poison for football.
Limbaugh needs to realize that real life is not the same as a bullcrap radio talk show.
How so? That the NFL at the time was desirous of McNabb, one of the first black quarterbacks, be viewed as successful for the image appearance, over true talent? How's that racist?
Yep, true enough, but isn't ESPN a part of a network as well? That's right it is ABC, and although it is a different network, and presumably different standards when it comes to whom they will put on air in a logo'd jacket, I seem to recall that after the flap where Limbaugh told the truth about McNabb on air that pressure was brought to bear from the NFL on the network to oust him.
Now NBC is certainly a different entity altogether, thats for sure. But, if you are saying that it is ok for someone as vile, and divisive as Keith Olbermann to rant endlessly on air to NFL's audiences, and have other owners out there in professional sports that have made far worse examples than has Limbaugh, then hypocrisy springs to mind.
How about that girl from the Black eyed Peas that now owns part of the Dolphins? I guess she is ok because she shares a common view with the NFL? Really?
pfft!

As I said earlier I didnt give a **** what Limbaugh wanted to do. You mentioned Olberman and I stated what he does in relation to the NFL. Im a NY fan, your attempt to put me in the same league as Jackson and Sharpton fails harder than our currency.
