Sharpton, Jackson Attack Limbaugh's Rams Bid

I've heard of him, but only insomuch as the right hates him, he's really rich, and he donates to liberal causes. That's about it. I actually never heard of him before the last election campaign.

Really you never heard of Moveon.org, Sorass make's Rush look like a nice guy.

Sorass and his so-called no-partisian site have made more racist and falce comments about Rush and the Right then Rush and the Right have every done towards the Left.

Hell I recalling watching a Moveon.org rally in Portland Maine and some of the sign's they were carrying were way over the top. Moveon.org in the past have called US Military Folks Baby Killers and Nazi's.

Why is the "Right" so protective of Rush?

Being just an entertainer and all what the big deal?

It's simple. If the NFL, if the team in question thinks it is too big of a public relations problem to let this man have a somewhat minor position as owner of a team, then they have to act in according to their interest. Weigh the cost and benefits of such a bid and act accordingly.

Go ahead and play the violin for Rush, but I won't join you folks.

And fine, you're free to think he's a racist.

Why thank you!

I will go along with you that it turns out some of the quotes posted earlier have not been adequately documented. Upon further research however I found that half of them have been documented.

And then there is the matter of his divisive hate talk every day where he appeals to what is most base in people. Most people find this as objectionable as his racist talk.

If Rush chooses to talk trash he should not be surprised when he is rejected on account of it.

We are all responsible for our own actions and must take the consequences. There is nothing in the Constitution that relieves us of that responsibility.

I think few people are actually complaining about the notion that the NFL may’ve voted him down, or his group would dump him, because he’s controversial. That’s business, its capitalism.

I think people in general are more upset that his ownership group KNEW he’d be controversial when they ASKED HIM to come on, but only kicked him out after he was (against the rules of the procedure) leaked to the media as being a member of this group and sports writers started proliferating FALSE information about Rush to try and “prove” he’s a Racist which led to the foundation of many of the statements by those speaking out against him during that time and was repeatedly used in discussions and stories concerning this all across the nation. And it was only after this point, after repeated prodding, did Roger Goodell finally make a negative statement about Rush’s involvement in the league.

Its not about the capitalistic, business portion of this. Its more along the lines of the fact that it very much appears a private citizen got railroaded out of an opportunity to be part of a private venture to buy a private business because of lies and misinformation propagated through the media attempting to enrage and incite the mob mentality further against Limbaugh, under the guise of racism, but in reality due to the fact they disagree with his politics.

I honestly never heard of Soros or MoveOn until last election campaign. I heard of MoveOn before I heard of Soros. Hmmmm ... maybe I heard of MoveOn in the '06 campaign?

I never saw a MoveOn rallly.

Sure they have. Right here, see:

See, I sourced it. Therefore it must be true. If its not true MoveOn.org needs to prove that their members have never said that about our troops ever.

You are on this board, I have mentioned soros many times. It would look silly if you had no idea who soros was... Downright ignorant if you ask me.

It would look silly & "Downright Ignorant" if someone never heard of Soros because they failed to read your posts about him?
Why is that?

And I admitted to being ignorant of who he was, and had to look it up.

Honestly i find that shocking.

Why? I am not a part of MoveOn, I agree with them sometimes, disagree sometimes, but overall, I am mostly indifferent to them. I don't have an emotional vested interest in finding out more.

So it appears that your shock is based on missing your posts.....That's what you said.

does emotion drive your political research?

That might be a bad way to put it, but if something pisses me off, I am more likely to put alot of time and effort into researching it. Likewise, an issue I feel strongly positive on(say gay marriage), I will put more time researching on. An issue where I am indifferent or ambivalent, I will probably spend less time on.
