    Uhm....

Barack the Magic Negro lives in D.C.
The L.A. Times, they called him that
'Cause he's not authentic like me.
Yeah, the guy from the L.A. paper
Said he makes guilty whites feel good
They'll vote for him, and not for me
'Cause he's not from the hood.
See, real black men, like Snoop Dog,
    Or me, or Farrakhan
Have talked the talk, and walked the walk.
Not come in late and won!

    [refrain]

Oh, Barack the Magic Negro, lives in D.C.
The L.A. Times, they called him that
'Cause he's black, but not authentically.

Oh, Barack the Magic Negro, lives in D.C.
The L.A. Times, they called him that
'Cause he's black, but not authentically.
    Some say Barack's "articulate"
And bright and new and "clean."
The media sure loves this guy,
    A white interloper's dream!
But, when you vote for president,
Watch out, and don't be fooled!
Don't vote the Magic Negro in -
'Cause 'cause I won't have nothing after all these years of sacrifice

The whole song was a parody on sharpton and jackson saying obama wasn't black enough, and the magic negro was from a lib on the la times.

Context makes you look more in the loop.

I know. I heard the song. When Rush Limbaugh played in on his show. Did you even read why I was criticizing it?
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet the Makeout Hobo, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

He was highly overrated. That doesn't mean that one doesn't belong in the NFL or that they aren't decent. It means they are overrated, and at the time he was. Limbaugh was fired, whatever. But people still trying to drum up the ol' "Limbaugh is a racist" are just being stupid.

Anyone else feel this is just another case of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson making a stir just to get more publicity?
I think publicity is part of, but I also think that it's mostly about revenge. They finally, after all these years, found a way they can get some real payback against Rush.

The funny part abhout all this, is that you got pro footbal palyers and the NFL and the player's union saying that they're going to turn their noses up at someone wanting to give them money...yeah right!!!

They can be as hoyty-toyty as they want, but there are college kids out there, that have talent, who will jump all over the chance to play for a team that Rush owns and they're not going to give two hoots about Rush's politics.

    What a moron.
There's a difference between saying "he's not good" and saying, in reference to people making him out to be a great QB that's now struggling, that you didn't think he was "that good" from the start.

For example, by week 12 of last year people could be talking about how Clinton Portis seemed to be running out of gas and wasn't seeming like a pro bowl back like he did at the start of the year. I could've easily made a class to say that frankly he wasn't "that good" to begin with (in reference to how good people were making him out to be a top 5 back), but that it was mostly good line play at the beginning of the year that was doing it for him.

That's not me saying Clinton Portis is a BAD back, just that the down turn in the 2nd half of the year wasn't surprising to me because he wasn't as good as people were making him out to be in the first place.

Just for fun too...McNabb's standings in 2003.

    17th in TD's
    16th in QB rating
    14th in Yards
    19th in completion percentage

You don't make Pro Bowls for being ****ty. A consensus voted him in... and I can assure it was not cuz he's black.

The biggest problem with McNabb is that he's injury prone. If there's one critique of him, that has got to be it.
You're basing this off the Pro Bowl Really?

Let me show you some fun fun fun pro bowl statistics.

First, go look at the amount of times Mike Vick got voted to the Pro Bowl and how many QB's had better TD, Yards, completion percentage, and every other important QB stat. It was popularity, plain and simple.

Second, again the pro bowl is as much about popularity as it is actual talent. Lets examine two players. Both play MLB. Going back to 2000

One has 911 tackles, 20.5 sacks, 48 pass defenses, 21 ints, 2 defensive TDs, and 11 force fumbles. He's been on one super bowl winning team.

The other has 1102, 25 sacks, 37 pass defenses, 14 ints, 3 defensive TD's, and 10 force fumbles. He's been on one super bowl winning team.

So one has more ints, Forced fumbles and pass defenses. The other has more tackles, more sacks, and more defensive TD's. What's the difference?

One is a 10 time pro bowler...Ray Lewis
One has never been to the pro bowl....London Fletcher

Being a good player helps with the Pro Bowl, but being in the Pro Bowl doesn't necessarily mean you're one of the tip top players of that position

Three, in regards to probowl voting, go look at what happened last year with the 8-8 redskins prior to the coachs/players vote. 25 redskins were sitting among the top 5 vote getters at their avrious positions, and the 8-8 skins would've had 17 bro bowlers.

Yes, McNabb is a good QB. He's not a top 3 to 5 QB in the league, especially when you consider his injury prone nature.

Exactly! People who are out there running their mouths against Rush don't know what they are talking about.

    [ame=http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/living/2009/10/12/nr.morris.limbaugh.nfl.cnn]Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com[/ame]

The headline is a bit misleading. Morris does call Limbaugh a bigot, and defines what he means by such (I think the definition applies to a great number of people, including some here rallying against Rush). But it was in contrast to people calling him racist, he's claiming Rush isn't racist. But in the end, it's actually a defense (much to the disappointment of the CNN jackass) of Rush.

Sharpton, not Jesse Jackson, and supposed to be through a bull horn (parodying his constant protesting).

And honestly, I didn't think the impersonation of Sharpton was that much farther off than well...every impersonation I've heard of Sharpton, even from the bastion of right winger propoganda (just ask CNN) SNL.

Granted, I'm sure this may get me lambasted as racist (Though if I said the same thing with "redneck" or "southern" it wouldn't) Sharpton does have a very stereotypical boistrous black preacher accent to his speech. If they took say, Obama, and instead made him sound like that when he has a completely different pitch, tenor, and inflection than Sharpton then I may be with you on that. But Sharpton sounds like that stereotype like Jeff Foxworthy's voice sounds like the redneck stereotype.
