Obama is making a big mistake.
So, let me get this straight: the number of appointed Czars determines whether a president is a "fascist"???
Are you advocating a Czar Quota be imposed in the WH??? I thought conservatives were against quotas !!!
Given the crisis Obama inherited
and the "gotcha" politics of today's Washington D.C.; Obama has used the Czar system more than other presidents. So what!!! How does that make him a fascist???
Nobody is covering this story because there is "no there...there". Fox is obsessed with this story because the word "czar" conjures up communist images from the minds of the very old, conservative hardliners who primarily grew up during the Cold-War. But for younger voters this story seems childish.
The bill to defund ACORN has not been signed into law because of claims that it is an unconstitutional Bill of Attainder.
The WH gains nothing from debating Fox because Obama voters do not watch Fox for news.
We only watch it for entertainment like we watch Saturday Night Live and the Coulbert Report. The people who watch Fox for news are conservatives who the WH is not trying to reach.
Obama has not tried to "destroy" Fox. He is merely verbalizing a notion that most of us have already realized but did not want to say. So far, no one has come up with evidence to rebut the WH's allegation.
Obama is making a big mistake.
You're confusing Law with Politics. In politics a well-stated allegation, from a credible source, that is not successfully rebutted within 72 hrs.; becomes the truth. Fox propagated absurdities like "death panels", "euthanasia" and "Obama's secret domestic armies". So when Obama made his criticism of the network; there was already enough evidence in the public domain to support his conclusion. Now its up to Fox or the other media to refute the WH. By calling Fox out publicly, the WH is daring someone to prove them wrong.
Czars??? That dog don't hunt. Many presidents, both Democtratic and Republican, have had Czars. That's why NO ONE except Fox is covering this nonsense.
the admin today offered up one-on-one interviews with pay czar feinberg to the white house pool, excluding fox
the 5 news organizations turned him down
wow!
If you actually DID watch FOX you'd know the facts instead of speaking of what you have NO understanding and making yourself look ..well.. :2rofll:
Congrats!!
(I didn't think it possible to include Fox & the word "Facts" in the same sentence!) :applaud
Isn't this "feud" merely an attempt to distract from the expected wave of year-end layoffs and subsequent unemployment data, followed by looming inflation and a commercial real estate collapse that will dwarf the housing mortgage issues?
Plus, January starts a new election season. I sense desperation.
This was a HUGE development in the feud. It shows that the other news organizations know that they will be treated the same as Fox if they don't toe the party line.
It was good to seem them unite in defense of Fox.
White House attacks worry moderate Democrats - Jonathan Allen - POLITICO.comA White House effort to undermine conservative critics is generating a backlash on Capitol Hill — and not just from Republicans.
“It’s a mistake,” said Rep. Jason Altmire, a moderate Democrat from western Pennsylvania. “I think it’s beneath the White House to get into a tit for tat with news organizations.”
Altmire was talking about the Obama administration’s efforts to undercut Fox News. But he said his remarks applied just the same to White House efforts to marginalize the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a powerful business lobby targeted for its opposition to climate change legislation.
“There’s no reason to gratuitously piss off all those companies,” added another Democrat, Rep. Jim Moran of Virginia. “The Chamber isn’t an opponent.”
I sense a bloodletting at the White House if his advisers keep sending him down these dead end lanes... or maybe it's just Obama himself being foolish.
What is being called out it is the lies and distortions that they are constantly trying to feed people. So they can divide our country for self-serving political needs of the Republican party....AGAIN.
It's about time the Dems stepped up and called out people for these types of disgusting tatics.
GOOD JOB.
This is the sort of blind partisanship that doesn't get us anywhere. If Fox News was the only douche bag network out there, maybe I could see a point of excluding them. But they aren't. The vast majority of the mainstream media act in similar behavior. But they do so for the other side. Fox is being singled out due to its political leanings and being denied access to the White House (or attempted rather) based on those political leanings. That is not right. The press is a necessary tool of the People to watch and constrain the government. It must be kept free. It would be great if all our media outlets conducted themselves in a fair, and informative manner; but they don't. Most have slants one way or the other. Fine, political commentary, they're free to do that. But they must still have access to the government, the People still need to know what the government is doing.
If it's such blatant and significant hyperbole, spin, and lies; than counter with the truth. Trying to use government force to suppress a media outlet due to its political agenda is not something I believe is within proper power of the government. Yes, when you watch any news outlet you have to be wary of its propaganda. Until we can stomach information over base, unintelligent entertainment; that's not going to change. We can't do much about it, other than use consumer habits to force an dull, intelligent, independent news network. But dissent mustn't be prohibited.
What if the government that Fox New constantly wants to project doesn't even exist. They can make up their own stories, as they do now, without attending can't they?
Now Democrats are telling Obama that he is wrong. Many are realizing that they will feel the public's wrath in next year's elections.

Well, it's not like obama had a lot of qualifications as president. He's a two term senator who was a community organizer.
