with the economy, afghanistan and health care to consider, "politically, focusing on fox news is like concentrating on rhode island at the expense of california"

The Lib media is too big and too loyal to "get it" for too long. Look at how they treat Clinton, Gore and Carter... and how they treated our troops during the Iraq War.

The Lib Media may have bad moments in the eyes of the WH and their Obamatrons, but no wholesale flip will occur. They don't value the Constitution either. How can they?

Re: White House Escalates War of Words With Fox News

nbc's savannah guthrie was interviewed by willie geist on msnbc's "way too early" just 5 minutes ago concerning her one-on-one with obama on wednesday's "today"

apparently, tho mr obama is not losing any sleep over current events, ms guthrie and mr geist are

on afghanistan, where obama has been upbraided by his own defense secty gates who explains that the pentagon really can't afford to "sit on its hands" while obama, in cheney's words, "dithers," taking his delicious, deliberative time to come to decision

obama told ms guthrie---yes, he might come to a conclusion about afghanistan BEFORE karzai's upcoming runoff, but the president might maybe not announce whatever his latest resolution might ultimately turn out to be until later

pressed by geist, ms guthrie found the president's thinking odd, especially after chief of staff rahm the ram reasoned on sunday's cnn that to do so, to reach determination in advance of the runoff, would be "reckless"

she sees the prez adopting a position his own chief of staff only 4 days ago described as "reckless"

first, obama is at odds with his own pentagon, now with his ram

    1. the commander in chief hasn't a clue what he's doing

    2. msnbc must not have received the memo mailed last sunday by axelrod and his allies admonishing the msm's not to follow fox's footsteps

    3. fox will certainly be discussing savannah's interviews today, tomorrow and subsequently, they're so newsbreaking, worthy and interesting

    compliments to the peacocks

Quote whom? Obama is not going to see demise at the hands of FOX News that's right, but what Obama's problem is simply is that he is a liar. He lied to the American people to get the job, and is now failing miserably. That will not go unnoticed for long, sycophant media or not.

Fox-bashing will not cost Obama any losses.

We will have to wait and see won't we? Fox has more viewers than the other cable networks combined x 2.

Not only has his poll numbers bumped up but so has the public option and other components of his agenda.

As was pointed out last night, although his personal likability numbers are up, his job approval number continue to sag, couple that with numbers that show that when you specifically ask people if they want a 'government' run option as a mandate to their health care, and they are overwhelmingly against that.

Fox only reaches a small radical portion of the Republican party. The station does not have a broad-based following that could do harm to Obama. They preach to those who already hate.

Simply not true. You should really do some independent research on that, instead of relying on liberal sources for your talking points. Fox in studies has been shown to have just that broad based viewership you say they don't....I think it was something like 61% Demo, and Indy following. And Bob Beckel, Carters advisor, NO RIGHTIE, says his own polls show at least 50% So......

No what these Czars believes determines whether someone is a fascist.

Are you advocating a Czar Quota be imposed in the WH??? I thought conservatives were against quotas !!!
I'm advocating that the POTUS should not be appointing extremists radicals who can not be vetted by the Senate.

    Given the crisis Obama inherited
That he inherited from the Democrat controlled Congress. The Democrats own this crisis and have made it far worse.

and the "gotcha" politics of today's Washington D.C.; Obama has used the Czar system more than other presidents. So what!!! How does that make him a fascist???
Obama has used the Czar system in order to bypass the Senate because the Senate would have rejected these radicals.

Nobody is covering this story because there is "no there...there". Fox is obsessed with this story because the word "czar" conjures up communist images from the minds of the very old, conservative hardliners who primarily grew up during the Cold-War. But for younger voters this story seems childish.
lol, no the 4th state is a branch of Obama's ministry of propaganda that is why they are not covering these stories. In fact in many cases they are covering up for the administration, like when the NYTimes ignored Stephanie Strom who told the truth about ACORN all the way back in 2008 because they knew it would harm Obama's campaign “The real story to all this is how these myriad entities allow them to shuffle money around so much that no one really knows what’s getting spent on what,” or like when the LATimes refused to release the video of Obama toasting Rashid Khalidi a virulent anti-semetic Muslim extremist.

Sorry there sport but if appointing self described communists, self described pedophile enablers, self described Mao lovers, etc, in order to bypass the Senate vetting process, isn't news then I don't know what is.

Like I said Fox News is the only news network which is not a direct branch of the white house press office, we now have a state controlled media and the Obama administration fully admits it. The same lady Anita Dunn who called Fox News a branch of the Republican party has publicly stated that the Obama administration controls the media and now the Obama administration has publicly threatened the entire MSM not to oppose them.

All opposition to the Fascist in Chief must be crushed and all dissenters punished; such as, the insurance companies who the corporatist bastards now running the show just rescinded the anti-trust exemption which has existed for 2 decades because they had the audacity to produce a study contradicting dear leaders assertions about premium costs going down when in fact they will double. Or perhaps Obama's truth squad of prosecutors and sheriffs who threatened to arrest and prosecute anyone criticizing dear leader?

You think Obama has FNC's phone lines tapped?

Yeah. Nobody takes that seriously. (Do you even know what a Bill of Attainder is, or are you just parroting it from what you read on a blog?) And the point is, if it were just a ball of Fox News lies, it never would have happened at all.

    But it wasn't.

The WH gains nothing from debating Fox because Obama voters do not watch Fox for news.
But they do "debate Fox," frequently, from the safety of other news networks and the White House press room.

We only watch it for entertainment like we watch Saturday Night Live and the Coulbert Report. The people who watch Fox for news are conservatives who the WH is not trying to reach.
    So . . .

The White House sees the press as its private microphone, for its own agenda, and doesn't see itself as the leaders of all of America, just the Americans who support them?

Obama has not tried to "destroy" Fox. He is merely verbalizing a notion that most of us have already realized but did not want to say. So far, no one has come up with evidence to rebut the WH's allegation.
They are trying to isolate and de-legitmize it. If they manage to convince "everyone" that it's indeed "not a news organization," I think they WILL try to bring the FCC and other agencies to bear on it, and what's more, at least several people here will cheer the whole time.
