    It was a joke....Get it?!?

If O'Reilly is the voice of reason at Fox news...

    or

If GW Bush is the new MENSA king

    or

If Adolf Hitler is now the head of the Jewish Rabbinical society

    A JOKE

    This conversation is over.

I don't undderstand why people on the right need to resort to personal attack to make their point...but so be it!

No it was not, you are a known liar.

My night was fine, I just can't stand hyper partisan lying, what about you?

PS Not an attack, a statement of fact proven time and time again.

I got it the first time.

Get angry as you like but the fact remains that Fox News is an arm of the GOP & I applaud the WH for calling them out.

If I had to guess, he was hoping you not lying when you said you were not responding to his posts any more.

    OK...I get it now.

This topic appears to have struck a nerve with those on the right & I'll take a few lashes if it makes some feel better.

Is that why Fox's ratings keep climbing? Is that why more and more people are wondering what the heck this administration is thinking? Do you really think that people didn't already know what FoxNews is all about and that they found out just this week, because the bigshots in the White House told them? Me thinks you should look into who actually watches Fox news and why. It's not all hardline conservatives being spoonfed their own ideology back to them. Many independents and many democrats tune in as well. Must be they don't really care what the White House thinks, and I hope it stays that way.

Also, if he is lying about Fox, other news agencies would rush in to gather evidence to contradict the POTUS. The media is always looking to instigate a fight. So I don't think the Administration would make these statements on a recurring basis unless they are confident they could back it up. So far no one has contradicted them. And in politics; if a statement is uncontradicted for 72hours it becomes the truth. Credibility at Fox is dead!!! I never heard Bush publicly admonish an entire news agency for being partisan because I don't think he could prove it.
Why would other news agencies bother to defend the one network that steals hundreds of thousands of viewers from them every day? I'm actually surprised many even bother to question the White House's strategy at all. You'd think they'd just sit back, eat popcorn and enjoy the fireworks that, according to you, will bring FoxNews down in flames.

"Boring" is not a metric used to measure news worthiness. For instance Beck is more fun because he discusses such craziness as "secret communist plots" revealed in the architecture of New York City buildings . That's not news, that's pure entertainment. How does that nonsense "contribute to your vision of the whole picture"??? And exactly what "picture" are you looking for when you tune into news stories about Obama's secret plot to kill our grandmothers, and form domestic armies???
I don't watch clowns like Glen Beck or Hannity for the news. I watch them for the lolz. Their shows are not news. They have the likes of Shepard Smith for news. You know, Shepard, the actual news guy. I hear he's a Democrat.

You're confusing opinion shows with news. The news reporting on Fox is not much different than on other networks. The news commentary, however, is very different and does provide a hard conservative perspective that the other networks, try as they may, are not able to provide without watering it down. I want to know how BOTH extremes of the political spectrum think. I want to understand why they see the world the way they do. If that means having to laugh a little (mostly a lot) at their paranoia and sensationalized talking points then so be it. I'm smart enough to sort through the riff-raff my centrist self hears from both sides. Believe me, from where I'm sitting, neither side comes out looking good.

Who says that? I'm not accusing you of lying here, I would just like to know who on this forum would make such a statement?

The Fox News channel as a whole, has a very clear conservative bias based on their conservative leaning opinion shows. If you are talking about their news programs, well, not so much. Their news programs do lean to the right, but are more centrist than the news you get from ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN.

My problem is not with the bias ......it's trying to HIDE the bias behind a Fair & Balanced logo that is a lie. (& that's what the WH is saying as well)
Fox News is the only television news network that admits they have a bias.

    Doesn't honesty lend to credibility?

What does it say when you have one TV news network that leans right and admits it, while you have 5 other networks that lean left, and refuse to admit it?

N.Y. Time is liberal....... Wall St. Journal is conservative.....FINE.....Just don't ltry to hide it.
As for the WSJ, I can't tell you whether they hide it or not, but the NY Times sure as hell does.
