And you are dead wrong: Fox does not deliver a point of view that gives you the "whole picture", they give you a distorted picture. There is no way you can claim that news reports about "death panels", "euthanasia" and "secret plots" to install communism has added anything to the public debate in this country.
OH! I see! The POTUS dissed them, so that takes away ALL their credibility!! I wonder, did you feel this way about everything and everyone Bush dissed too? You know, when he was the POTUS and all?

Also, I did not say that Fox delivers a point of view that gives me the whole picture. I said that Fox was one, among dozens, of the news channels I watch that contributes to my vision of the whole picture. Their distortions are no worse than those I see on other news networks. They're just more colorful and a whole lot less boring. I'd rather endure an hour of Glen Beck's tearful rants, than 5 minutes of Keith Olberman's mind-numbingly boring BS. But that's just me.

Re: White House Escalates War of Words With Fox News

the white house can't even get its silly story straight

first, fox was to be blacklisted because it had a conservative "point of view"

next, it was assailed by the white house for being profit oriented

"rupert murdoch has a talent for making money," averred axelrod on abc

he was talking to (LOL!) stephanopoulos

gibbs---programming on fox is tilted to "accentuate profits"

    hume's anti obama agenda pays?

all of em, axelrod, rahm the ram and valerie jarrett, the leading proponent of a windy city olympics, admonished the alphabets not to follow fox's suit

unfortunately, even that advice avails not

stephy, gregory and john king eviscerated the admin sunday

    ask eric massa

ask the LA times and washington post

ask david carr of the grey lady (ny times)

ask david gergen and donna brazile

ask dylan ratigan of msnbc's morning meeting, more critical of the white house than krauthammer

    ask snl

after LOL'ing obama 2 weekends ago for accomplishing jack and squat, after needling nobel the following week, lorne michaels' creation last saturday teased the prez for his lack of "toughness"

after receiving some advice to become more aggressive, armisen suddenly split his shirt seams and emerged the incredible hulk

played by dwayne johnson, barack's alter ego was introduced as "the rock obama"

the president used to paint himself as post partisan

now, all his people backpedal---we'll go on fox, don't make more of this than it is

what a bunch of adolescent amateurs

When only one network asks real journalistic questions, rather than throw softball setup questions, then one could consider visiting that network a challenge. Avoiding such a tough interview could easily be interpreted as cowardism!

Because FNC is a conservative leaning news and editorial entertainment network. Its most popular programs are NEWS-BASED OPINION SHOWS... Um...

So, it's not really a 'News' network per say, more like 24-hr micheal moore network for conservatives and their party... THE REPUBLICAN PARTY...

You can parse words all day long, scorp. You know what she meant. It's clear to the rest of us. And, I think it's clear to you.
Their highest rated shows might be opinion-based, but the majority of those shows have opposing opinions on the show at some time. Also, FOX also kicks ass on the regular news portions also.

You state that FOX is right leaning only because most of the networks are so leftist leaning. Only a liberal could make such an assertion, even if he/she labels him/herself as a moderate.

Now let's see some quotes from Fox news shows instead of their entertainment shows. Them you might have a point.

    • "The America Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money." -- Alexis de Tocqueville

Absolutely agree with you there. I tune in Fox strictly to hear the GOP's spin on issues....Problem is...some people turn it on thinking they are really getting Fair & Balanced news..(as opposed to GOP spin)......& then link to Fox as proof of their far right claims.
The WH has it exactly right.....Fox is not a legitimate news organization any more than the RNC is....Fox is the media arm of the GOP & should be required to register as such.

MSNBC is now claiming #1 status in ratings......I hope that is true!

I think this whole obsession with Fox News by a sitting president is disturbing.

Fox news is no different than MSNBC yet he only calls out FOX? seems only partisan hacks would agree that FOX is "not news" but somehow "MSNBC" is.

I disagree. Everyone knows that MSNBC has a liberal bias but....unlike Fox.....It does disagree with it's party (Dems) & even with Obama. Fox is pretty much a straight RNC voice & even creates news (ie Teabagging events) instead of just reporting on them.
I personally have never heard Hannity or any of them disagree with a RNC posotion.....Keith Olberman disagree with obama quite often.
