Russia is in fact a democracy. So are North Korea and Saudi Arabia.

Any government can call itself a "democracy" and claim to rule with the consent of the mob's majority - otherwise it would simply be overthrown.

Sergey Novikov, Radio Vesna, July 26, 2000, Smolensk. He was shot and killed in the stairwell of his apartment building. It is claimed he often criticized the government of Smolensk Region.[citation needed]
Iskandar Khatloni, US state controlled Radio Free Europe which beams daily news programming to Tajikistan, September 21, 2000, Moscow. He was killed at night with axe in his Moscow apartment by an unknown assailant. The motive of the murder is unknown. A RFE/RL spokeswoman said Khatloni worked on stories about the human-rights abuses in Chechnya.[32]
Sergey Ivanov, Lada-TV, October 3, 2000, Togliatti. He was shot five times in the head and chest in front of his apartment building. He was director of Lada-TV, the largest independent television company in Togliatti, which was an important player on the local political scene.[33]
Adam Tepsurgayev, Reuters, November 21, 2000, Chechnya. A Chechen cameraman, he was shot at his neighbor's house in the village of Alkhan-Kala. He produced most of Reuters' footage from Chechnya in 2000, including shots of Chechen rebel Shamil Basayev having his foot amputated.[citation needed]

Yuri Shchekochikhin, Novaya Gazeta, July 3, 2003, Moscow. Deputy editor of the Novaya Gazeta and the State Duma senator, he died just a few days before his scheduled trip to USA to discuss the results of his journalist investigation with FBI officials. He investigated "Three Whales Corruption Scandal" that allegedly involved high-ranking FSB officials. Shchekochikhin died from an acute allergic reaction. There are many speculations about cause of his death.
Dmitry Shvets, TV-21 Northwestern Broadcasting, April 18, 2003, Murmansk. He was deputy director of the independent television station TV-21 Northwestern Broadcasting. He was shot dead outside his station offices. Shvets' colleagues said their station had received multiple threats for its reporting on influential local politicians.[citation needed]

I do not care which Russian government killed these people it mattaers only that it was the Russians who killed them.

I would not consider Yelstin to be a big democrat. A stupid drunk yes.

So out of sevaqral mega tons of people killed on the list I posted you can challenge only one name - Iskandar Khatloni !!!

BTW God gave up on Russia a long time ago, probably sometime around the early 16th century.

That is a good question. I have always wondered why the hate when 8 million Ukraininas were starved to death by the Russians in the 1930's. When the NKVD murdered Ukranian Catholic priests, shot Ukrainian patriots, cut oopen the stomaches of pregnant Ukrainian woman and threw the fetuces onto the barbed wire, and crushed Ukrainian Catholic nuns with tanks. Why the hate when Russian NKVD shot 10,000 officers of the Polish Army at the Katyn forrest. And I have to wonder why the hate from a personal matter when both of my Grandfathers were sent to Siberia.

Yes indeed the eveil hatred has emminated from the cesspool of the Russian heart for centiries so why the hate, yes indeed why do they hate.
