ST. LOUIS -- The lowly St. Louis Rams have someone who loves them.

Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said Tuesday he is teaming up with St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts in a bid to buy the Rams, owners of the NFL's longest losing streak at 14 and just 5-31 since 2007.

In a statement, Limbaugh declined to discuss details, citing a confidentiality agreement with Goldman Sachs, the investment firm hired by the family of former Rams owner Georgia Frontiere to review assets of her estate, including the NFL team.

Limbaugh also declined to discuss other partners that might be involved in the bid, but said he and Checketts would operate the team.

Hmm very interesting love him hate him one thing you can't denie is Rush love for sports.

I bet there will be some liberal loons who will boycott the Rams and there will probably be gay and trannies protesting the rams as well.

I wonder how this will affect his environmental whacko picks if he wins it? ;)

Limbaugh has done very well for himself with his on air rants. It's amazing! He'll be the new Steinbrenner!

It will be interesting to see if this deal goes through how Rush will reconcile his LOVE for the Pittsburgh Steelers versus his ownership interest in the Rams.

All plays will be run to the right side and when the offense does not produce the Rams will be accused of playing too conservatively. Oddly, it is rumored Nancy Pelosi wants to buy the Jacksonville "Jags".

Excellent. Another reason for me to hate the Rams even more.

I didn't know people watched sports teams because of who team owner or co-owner is. I always thought people watched a particular team because of the people who actually play the game or because of a team's winning steak.

With me...that used to be true. However, in the last 2 decades, the NFL has continually shown themselves to be very little about sport and more about a business and the financial interests of the owners.

I got soured on the NFL when several of the owners decided that they were going to hold taxpayers hostage and start demanding tax payer financed stadiums be provided to them at no cost or else they would move the teams.

I couldn't stand how Georgia managed the Rams when she was in LA and was "good riddance" them them when she moved to St. Louis.

Until the NFL starts reigning in these owners and their blackmail to get taxpayer money....I've lost all interest.
