is congress not the ultimate authority of the usa?
hahahahahahaha!
is congress not the ultimate authority of the usa?
Congress funds everything, get a clue.Aint it Congress that funds such things?
What? You don't like when someone points out at the problems with your elections? Well...
What problems?? It was simply a close vote in Florida, nothing more and nothing less.
That's not what some say...
And in any case, don't you see how your collective psychology works? When it's disputed election in a country that is not under the US heel, -- its a humanitarian disaster that needs urgent monitoring and "liberating" expedition! When it's disputed ellection in the US or a country firmly under the US control, -- its nothing, hiccups of democracy at the most.

Some say there are martians flying around the Earth. Some say Bush personally bombed the WTC towers. Some say we didn't land on the moon.
What's your point?
The US election wasn't disputed. We simply recounted the votes to be sure that the correct and actual winner was named. Case closed.
I don't recall seeing jackbooted thugs shooting innocent women and bashing in people's heads in Miami or Orlando as we saw in Tehran. Did you??
"jackbooted thugs shooting innocent women"?
I don't recall it either. On the other hand I don't recall an all pervasive culture of vicious street gangs in Tehran as we see in America...
I guess you never heard of Neda??
Wait, let me guess. This was photo shopped by the evil USA to make the benevolent Iran look bad.
Have you ever heard about the events that unfolded within this picture?
How on earth can the Logan act stop Congress funding such an organisation? Congress funds freaking Israel via earmarks!! So it is a no no to fund an organisation that is against the sitting Iranian government, but it is no problem to give billions to Israel..
Do you even know the Logan act? Is Congress not the ultimate authority of the USA?

Yes. Terrible! Never should've happened.
Ever heard of this YouTube - Raw Video: Minneapolis Police Beat Man
Have you ever heard about the events that unfolded within this picture?
And why exactly should the US be peeping and interfering with the life in Iran? Have you sorted out all your domestic social problems and inadequacies? Why do you assume you have the right to meddle in other countries business?!
Because other countries are also composed of human beings, and when a human being suffers elsewhere, we should ALL be concerned.
The dude probably had it coming. Don't break the law and you don't get beat up. It ain't rocket science.

PBO ?Just another example whose side PBO is really on. Either that, or he's a weak-kneed nutless coward.Typical conservative response.
Yeah, we can build hospitals, schools, and the criminally insane Islamics will blow them up.Be concerned, by all means... Make a donation, go there and build a school, or a hospital...
But there is a world of difference between your private concern and sponsored by the US government monitoring of other nation's home affairs. So you do not think we should be doing this ?
Sure but do we show a similar level of concern when our allies are doing similar things to what the Iranian government is doing. I assume you remember general pinochet, galtieri, suharto etc better than i do. Were you equally concerned at the time as you are now?

What is my point? Precisely that: some say people in Iran are oppressed and their elections were rigged beyond what is considered usual for other "democratic" countries, and that Iran needs to be monitored by the likes of the US. Looney theory and the people that lap it up!
And I do agree with you, it's not important who votes and how, what is important is who counts the vote and how. Frankly, I don't give a rat's backside about your elections, at the end of the day your country is ran by unelected clans and not by the senate or president.

Maybe your country could do with some monitoring for a change?
