Fidel Honoured

Yes praise the man who locks up dissidents, maintains a personality cult, and has destroyed his nation's economy. Call economic connections "imperialism" all you want, but that doesn't stop the fact that they have dramatically improvecd the standard of living for Cubans while that autocratic thug, Castro, has substantially reduced it. I've had enough BS for one day, see ya

Good on you, run away like a capitalist coward.

Castro is no autocrat, the fact you sat he is is an illustration that either you know nothing about Marxist-Leninism, nothing about Castro, nothing about the Communist party of Cuba and nothing about the Cuban constitution. Keep living in denial, where false consciousness is king, but come the victory of the PRC and the Proletariat, the class traitors will be the first to perish. Fate will catch up with you.

The only way to see what is the envy of Latin America, by definition, is to know what the people of Latin America want, and the people of Latin America continually want friendship with Cuba and opposition to the great satan.

And apparently they want toilet paper...... Tell me Joe Castro, why do you treat South Americans as just as mass of people. Do you know any South Americans? Do these people have a unified set of political beliefs, or are they many different political beliefs?

Firstly, yes, I do know quite a few South Americans. I never thought i said all South Americans want the same, i thought the implication was clear though, the vast, vast majority admire the Cuban revolution.

There are three types of people in the world. The Bourgeoisie, those who have achieved class consciousness and those who operate in a realm of false consciousness.

Again this is your opinion, which you keep spouting but fail to back up. The fact that South America has both leftist and and center-right parties suggests that in reality the is a pluralism of ideas. So if you would like to provide me and others with links demonstrating the wide support for the Cuban revolution, outside of Cuba, it would be greatly appreciated.

If this were true, all of Latin America would already be communist....

Not that it's important, seeing as the people of Latin America are horrendously undereducated and thus easily manipulated. If they do admire Castro it does not mean that the scumbag is admirable.

No, there are billions of types of people in this world, and the concept of "class" is a false one to begin with.

And it was you that ran away from the other thread, when I asked you to explain the Soviet domination of the former Eastern bloc nations. So before you start calling anyone a debating coward, it would be actually quite nice to see you rebut substantial arguments as opposed to merely ignoring them and then rehashing the same material in different threads.

I haven't run away. If i don't reply to something it is because i deem it to be void of an intellectual challenge. But, if you really wish for me to discuss something, drop me a line on where and what you have issue with.

The wide support for the Cuban revoltuon is evident by the positions of President's Chavez, Correa, Kirchner, Morales and Lula.

Wow, it's supported by all of five leaders. How many countries are there in Latin America again?

Right, so discussing the the USSR's political and economic influence over former Eastern Bloc countries is not intellectually stimulating or at the very least some sort of intellectual challenge......

Don't piss on my leg and say that its raining.

Yes, they are, on the whole, undereducated, Cuba aside, what does that tell you? Imperialism has failed and soon will die and victory will belong to the proletariat.

That really isn't an argument. If this were an exam it would be marked "must try harder".

Secondly those are politicians. Yet again I invite you to publish any relevant material that shows that the general public within the majority of South American nations supports the Cuban revolution.

I told you tell me where to go and discuss it. If i avoided it, it is either because I never saw it, or more likely, the wording of the challenge was so pitiful and so lacking logical structure that I thought, what is the point.

And if this were an exam I would mark, "Joe tends to like using cliched marxist labels, must try harder."

Politicians backed by the people, elected (continually) by majority after declaring their admiration for Cuba and opposition to Yankee imperialism and Bourgeois dominance.

Why was my question so pitiful? What was wrong with the logic of the question? Is there something that you know about the USSR's foreign policy that I do not? Something that is so self-evident, that I am a fool for missing it?

I fail to see how it tells me that, especially since Imperialism doesn't exist there in the first place.

For the record this is the post that Joe Castro thinks was so pitiful and so illogical that it was not worth replying to.

I wrote:
Re: Scottish referendum Bill heads for defeat
"And how about Soviet domination of the Eastern Block, or do only Capitalist societies engage in imperialism?"

To which I got no reply from Joe Castro.

So I would like to apologize to my fellow posters, for posting something that was so pitiful and so illogical that it wasted another users time. Mods can you please send me to the Debating Hall of Shame.....

He put in place a model healthcare system for his people to which the USA can only aspire. ;)

.

We could have the same if not better, if the republicians would step aside.
Instead of hearing and reading the usual sick and hateful drivel, it would be refreshing to read the truth.

It depends on the context, I don't remember what else was being said. There is a possibility that what you said was irrelevant, there is a possibility I missed it. But if you wish to discuss the Soviet Union, then by all means start a thread. I am always ready to discuss the Soviet Union in a rational manner. I will look forward to receiving your prompt, should it come.

Thank you for highlighting rationalism in bold, a mere pleb like me might have missed that. Was my question about the Soviet Union and the former Eastern Bloc irrational?

Secondly you can see the context of my question by reading pg 4-7 of the thread "Re: Scottish referendum Bill heads for defeat".

You see, it is those kind of comments that normally drive me to deem a post or poster unworthy of my time. If you believe that, you must be drowning in self consciousness, a member of the exploitative class or just irrational.

You have obviously never read the communist manifesto, the most basic, easily read piece of literature, or you haven't understood it, or you have not opened your eyes. Just have a thought to yourself about the essence of the IMF, the School of the Americas, the history of Cuba or Puerto Rico or the relationship between the modes of production and the division of labor, then get back to me.

If this were on an exam...

...It would be marked "you stupid piece of ignorant crap".

Ignorant? The ignorant one is the one who has no idea of the terms being talked about and their inherent essence, that certainly is not me.

Anyway on behalf of the Spanish Health Care System I would like to thank Fidel for choosing to use Spanish health care over the wonderful Cuban Health System. It's good to know that when the President has a serious condition, he is willing to give up his spot in the Cuban system by getting treatment in Spain; so that others may reap the benefits of Cuban Health Care.

I have given you an opportunity and invite to logically construct an opinion on the Soviet Union and challenge me with it. If you ever get round to it let me know.
