Guns allowed in Arizona bars starting Wednesday

"The Manegment has the right to refuse service to anyone"

Ever see those signs?

Yep I have. I ve also seen signs that said no coloreds allowed. Damnit I'm on phone so I can not link or have spell check. BRB

I once got blind, mule drunk in Gallop New Mexico with a group of Native Americans. They took me to their house in mid winter and made the women and children sit in the back of the pick up truck while demanding I sit with the men in the cab, in mid winter.

The land moves in mysterious ways, especially when it is spinning in nausea with Navajos.

What does this have to do with guns or Arizona?

Only the 'Changing Woman' knows.

And she is suffering one hell of a PMS.

 I've been to Gallup, what a hole... Drunk injuns there? no way!!!!!

Nice, nothing goes with whisky like a 9mm. Really stupid

That's on the patron to follow the law. And on the bartender if he observes a person drinking with a gun.

Why should bartenders be tasked with separating a drinking customer from his gun? I wonder how Arizona bartenders feel about this "freedom"?

will be allowed to bring their guns into bars and restaurants that haven't posted signs banning them.

I've got no problems at all with this law. If you own a bar/restaurant and don't want people bringing in guns, all you've got to do is post a sign that says they're not allowed. Perfectly fair in my opinion.

If I lived in Arizona, I simply would not go to bars. I don't want to be drinking in the same place with someone who is packing heat. Nor do I want to meet up with them in the parking lot.

I have never heard of anything GOOD happening in a bar, with or without guns present...
OTOH, concealed hand guns were probably always present to some extent.

Its been over amonth since this started.
How much of a negative effect has it caused?

The bar owner has the freedom to post a 'no guns' sign.

let's see......no guns in bars? we could start there. no guns at gov't functions? that's a good one as well. no guns in schools? i like that.

No guns in bars. Somehow, I doubt you are willing to go along with the train of thought that says if people know that there is a good chance the people around them are armed, then there is a better chance that those same people will be more careful in what they say and do.

No guns at gov't functions. I would posit that if politicians had to consider that their constituents were armed they might be a little more careful in what they do. :doh

no guns in school. That worked so well at Virginia Tech. Yeah, we want everyone to know that they are safe to kill our students cause there's a no guns on campus policy.

I am of the opinion that the more people are carrying, the more polite our society will be.
