    Treasurer: Arizona is broke

Every penny the state collects in revenue has to go through the treasurerís office, 1,800 accounts in all, including all the municipalities. The state general fund, which has been the biggest argument in the Arizona Legislature the last few years, is only one of those funds, and right now, itís $100 million in debt.

Aren't they the ones who wanted to sell their capitol building in order to pay for budget shortfalls?

    Don't recall that happening.

Quick and easy way to fix this... amend the law that makes citizen referendums must follows.

Make the citizens who do these referendums figure out how to fund their ****.. and if they can't.. scrap them.

There was one state who wanted to sell its state house for 700 million, and pay it back in installments over 20 years. They would pay back double what they recieved. So basically, they'd add millions of debt over 20 years just to cover their budget for this one single year. Pretty sure it was AZ. What a stupid idea.
