I don't think you understood the fundamental nature of my point. Compulsory attendance during any significant portion of adolescence is bound to be problematic, because we uphold a culture that encourages strict age-based regimentation well past biological adulthood rather than the pursuit of one's preferred initiatives even when a person's ready to make informed decisions about them.
And this would all still be irrelevant considering that most places hiring are looking for those who are experienced. Younger people, being alive for fewer years, would have less experience.

One of the things that I always recommend to teens and college students is getting internships...even if they pay nothing. Putting something on your resume that indicates that you have experience is invaluable in this job market.

Your own comment also didn't consider the actual nature of my post. I referred to a broader institutional deficiency caused by an authoritarian schooling system that compelled people to go to secondary school even after they'd acquired the initiative to follow other interests.

Initiative and the ability to follow through with initiative are two different things. Without the second, the first is irrelevant.

i'm a veteran (oh, boy, am i) public school teacher

too many kids wear signs on their foreheads, blaring in neon---work is for other people but i'm as entitled as anyone to air conditioning because, you don't understand, it's hot

That's right. That's the basis for my opposition to the additional artificial constrictions placed on individuals with the practical abilities to follow through, such as extensions of compulsory schooling.
