Huh. Imagine that. I ask Apdst to put up or shutup predicting that he will utterly fail....and what does he do?

You make fun of me for a statement and when I ask you to prove how my defense is wrong....you turn your tail and throw insults at me.

I'm not the one claiming that, "assistance", and, "advice", are completely different things.

Are we supposed to believe that when filling out a 1040, and a client asks a question about a deduction, that the VITA person isn't going to say anything? Of course we're not supposed to believe that.

You just laughed at me and called me wrong. And when I backed up my statement what do you do?

Refuse to address how I am completely correct. Typical. Make snide remarks and then you have nothing to fall back on.

Explaining what a deduction is, is not tax advice. If I explain what force is in physics class, is that advice? And a VITA person will ask the person the necessary questions to determine the number of deductions.

Explain to me how filling in blank fields is the same as structuring a transaction to defer recognition of income into a period of low marginal taxation?

    or shutup.

You didn't provide anything to support your statement, unless your word is supposed to be considered supporting documentation and I'm quite sure that we're not going to buy into that. Are we?

Still more outright refusal to address my question eh?

Don't worry, we all know you fail at backing anything you say up.

Maybe you do think that filling in blank fields is the same as structuring deals to avoid taxation? I wouldn't be surprised. After all, you consider analogy to be the same word as sarcasm.

I don't think that anyone on this forum is going to accept a person's word as supporting documentation and we're surely not going to take a question as the same. Grow up.

Prove to me how my question is wrong. Please. Show me how filling in blank forms is the same as structuring a deal to reduce taxes. After all, you made fun of me for saying that tax advice is not the same as tax assistance. I provided a clear example of what assistance is, helping people fill out a form they don't understand. That essentially is filling in blank fields (which suggests to me you don't file your taxes). Tax advice would be discussing specifically how to use the tax code to structure a deal to defer recognition of income. While some VITA locations may offer in addition to preparation some tax advice, the objective of the program is to help people file their taxes. That is essentially nothing more then taking their relevant forms and entering the data on the relevant field. Have you ever even looked at a 1040? The fact that you don't get this incredibly simple concept is disturbing.

And what the hell does documentation have to do with this?

How does documentation somehow make my argument wrong?

You cannot answer the question because you know you are wrong. It is as simple as that. It's a real easy question.

You don't have any to back up your position. You're so much smarter than everyone else, so it shouldn't be hard to provide some. So, what are you waiting for?

You still can't answer it can you? Your little documentation bull**** is just cover for your inability to answer the exceedingly simple question.

Well, what do I expect from a man who can't tell the difference between the words "sarcasm" and "analogy?"
