Senate Votes to Cut Off ACORN Housing Funding - Political News - FOXNews.com

The Senate voted to cut off ACORN Housing funds following the release of three videotapes that show employees of the activist group advising a "pimp" and "prostitute" on how to break the law.

The amendment, offered by Nebraska Republican Sen. Mike Johanns, passed in a vote of 83 to 7 and prohibits the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now from receiving funds from the current Transportation and Housing and Urban Development appropriations bill. It marks the third time this year Republicans tried to block the organization from federal funding.

Jeeze it took them long enough now lets have a complete investigation into this Group

How is it that this is not on every network instead of just Foxnews? How can CNN.com ignore this and still claim any credibility at all?

I didn't know that there were 83 Republicans in the Senate !!

Because its not a adulterous republican or a gay republican or a democrat governor who cheated on his spouse was a brave man for coming out of the closet.

I'm still waiting for the video where they are sitting across from Obama getting advice. Think that will make CNN news?

And what will grow from this tiny ACORN ?

. . . . . a lame duck term 3.3 years long

Don't hold your Breath

Scorp, please tell me you didn't think I was actually going to go look for it for her?

I saw lots of articles. I saw CBS, NBC, lots of tv, radio stations. I didn't care enough to search specifically for CNN, I certainly don't care enough to monitor CNNs site and let her know when/if an article shows up.

There is no 'there' there. FoxNews is not the sole brave news outlet voting on a Senate vote.

Maybe less than that if there is a video with Obama at the table offering advice.

Don't see it at cbsnews.com. I do see something about Holder going after BofA execs. I guess that's a bigger story?

Yes.

Glad someone in congress is actually doing his job

It's not a top headline, but I did find it at MSNBC.com.

That is your only objective I see to try and falaciously tie Obama to Acorn. I belive that you guys could car less if Acorn has done anything bad but if you can tie Obama to them you would be happy.

You can say pals around to Acorn as much as you want but if it's a lie it gets you nowhere except with those who wear tin foil hats.

ahh, well then you missed it. I gave you a Google news link of over 100 stories, I saw a link to CBS's story in there.

Well, if it is at cbsnews.com, it sure isn't anywhere in the headlines.

I expect you will see the story on every main stream media's website... But the question is, will it appear in print and on the air?

btw... Chalk up another victory for America, courtesy of Glenn Beck.

.

Defund them and try to get as much of the money back as we can.

ACORN has been an issue LONG before anyone even knew who Glenn Beck was.

I am in support of cutting their funding, at least until they find a system that makes employee corruption much less likely. The system they have now may work in theory, but it runs into one major flaw.

Everyone lies.
