I doubt that seriously. Poll numbers would mean alot more than any crowd of protesters, especially when so many of the protesters carried over the top signs that make them easy to dismiss.

60,000 people isn't that many people. That's a large town or a very small city. There are hundreds in the smallest states.

You consider lame insults directed at thousands of protestors to be a form of debate? Please, sir, you do the term an injustice.

Anyway, Mr. "Moderate", perhaps you can explain your reflexive disgust of these protestors, since it apparently has nothing to do with your unremitting love of all things Obama...

Their very existence is an affront to honesty and is built on a mountain of ignorance and hypocrisy. What's not to be disgusted about?

So, Obama isn't trying to push through a (near) trillion-dollar bill at a time when deficits are already off the scale?

Now this is an effective argument. It's also my argument against a public option.

Msnbc reported an estimate of "Tens of Thousands".
While the reporter on the scene, reported an estimate of "Hundreds of Thousands."

Even if just 60k, that is a significant turnout for conservatives because they are not generally given to protesting enmasse like liberals are.
Many people do not understand that.

I just noticed that the video I provided earlier showed Acorn up to no-good yet again.
Did Acorn use tax dollars to purchase those "Don't Tread On Me" flags they were selling at the demonstration?
What the heck did they think they were doing?

Health care has been one of the primary focuses of the U.S. government for decades. Expenditures have been rising exponentially in the private sector and consequently for government as well. Various criticisms have been leveled as to why this is the case, and effective reform requires that lots of money be spent. The only way not to spend lots and lots of money on health care is to do what the Bush Administration did and ignore it, thereby increasing deficits in the long run. They may not like the finer points of the health bill legislation being drafted on capital hill, but objecting to it simply because it costs a lot of money is insincere and foolish.

You can maybe carve off a hundred billion or two and still have somewhat effective reform, but there isn't really a point; the amount of money that is being projected to be saved in the long run by people in private and for the U.S. government as a result of reform is supposed to compensate for any temporary loss. When you are investing for long term gain, a hundred billion or two out of eight isn't very important.

    Well this is from Infowar.com.

National Park Service Admits 9/12 Demo Largest On Record

a spokesman for the National Park Service, Dan Bana, is quoted as saying “It is a record…. We believe it is the largest event held in Washington, D.C., ever.”

The past largest march was Dr. Kings march which was around 1.8 Million.

Also one other item I would like to point out that doesn't get reported but this was a three day event, now how does this effect the actual number's I'm not sure.

Oh and few other items to throw in how the Park Service come's up with the numbers, they use all Police/Fire and Emegancy Numbers along with Aerial Shots taken by the USAF and NSC/NSA to show crowd size.

    I really don't think so.
