Filmmaker Demands Apology From ACORN for Claiming Undercover Video 'Doctored' - Political News - FOXNews.com

The independent filmmaker whose hidden-camera videos prompted the firing of four ACORN workers is demanding an apology from ACORN for calling his work a fabricated "scam" and daring the activist group to take legal action against him.

"Bring it on," filmmaker James O'Keefe said Sunday on FOX News.

That was after ACORN lashed out at O'Keefe, who with his friend Hannah Giles posed as a pimp and prostitute looking to evade the IRS and apply for an illegal housing loan for a brothel. The sting operation caught four ACORN workers in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., offices appearing to offer their help.

Those workers were subsequently fired, and the U.S. Census Bureau severed ties with ACORN in the wake of the controversy. But ACORN chief organizer Bertha Lewis issued a written statement Saturday saying that while she cannot defend the actions of the workers who were terminated, O'Keefe may have committed a "felony" with his operation. She also threatened legal action against FOX News, which aired the videos but did not produce them.

This is great I hope that ACORN does file a suit so the truth about this group is finally shown in a Court.
 
If there is a criminal investigation the video tape will become evidence.

If it was doctored we will find out.

What is this facination with with Acorn certain people persons seem to have. Acorns are nuts right. So is it nut gathering that is driving the ones who seem to have gone beyond facination into obsession. Or is it a fetish ?
 
I read that Maryland has a law about taping and recording someone with out consent, I think it should be a crime to give millions to a bunch of criminals like ACORN.

WAIT A MINUTE !! Isn't it the film maker who is being accused of doctoring ? Acorn may not be the ROTARY CLUB but are you saying that the CORN leadership are all graduates of the STATE PEN and not PENN STATE ? How many of the total Acorn leadership are convicted criminals ?

So you have no respect for the First Amendment (people exercising their freedom of expression by donating to an organization of their choice)?

one side - acorn in this instance - loses the argument
and then changes the subject - often attacking the one who shed the much needed light

YES! if acorn is the best value contractor bidding on the federal work to be done
would you prefer the money be spent on a contractor which is less qualified or offers a lesser value to do the government's work

Their attempts, organization wide, to facilitate tax fraud and voter registration fraud, are what is at issue, not their efficiency.

Is it beyond your ken that someone might have just said "money" when they meant "taxpayer money" ?

I knew what the original poster meant, from the context of the thread, even before the clarification. Was this beyond your understanding or do you want to fixate on it to avoid the question the OP obviously meant to ask ?
 
It's real simple... So simple, even half of the partisan liberals out there will get it...

If the tape was was spliced and diced, and was phony as ACORN claims, then how come all those employees were fired?

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out people.

It's a taxpayer funded operation and I for one don't want MY money going to fund organized crime.

FYI: A question is usually completed with a question mark. Anyway…

Our fascination stems from their involvement with the government i.e., they receive millions of tax-payer dollars and are eligible to receive billions more; not to mention the fact that they were supposed to help conduct the census.

When an organization such as this is caught on camera three times helping to facilitate child prostitution it then becomes "fascinating" to people with a functioning brain. That's how politics works, you see.

This concludes our lesson with civics 101. You receive a failing grade.
