Anti-abortion activist shot in front of Owosso High School - MLive.com

In what may or may not be a politically motivated killing a "well-known anti-abortion activist was shot and killed this morning in front of a High School".

I say may or may not because there are reports that the killer had a personal grudge. Yet if it is motovated becasue of anti- or pro choice then this would be a very sick develpment and just as bad as the killing of that doctor in his church was was involved with womens health.

Do you guys think that this is a reaction for the killing of that doctor in Kansas who did some legal abortions ?
 
The news report I read said that the shooter was only aggravated because the guy was holding up graphic signs in front of children walking to school. As far as I know, it's not a grudge against the anti-abortionists.

In any case, the guy deserves to go to jail.
 
News said the guy shot was displaying some horrid pictures and the guy in the car was sick of it to the point of rage. I guess its not road rage anymore if you have to go get a gun. It seems unrelated to anything else going on.

No, because abortionist scum like to kill babies, it doesn't fit their profile. An abortionist killing a prolifer would be like a pedophile rapist raping a woman in her 40s or PETA throwing paint on people wearing leather outside a Sturgis Motorcycle Rally when their target is little old ladies and other weak people. Its possible, if they have no problem with babies being killed then they might nit have a problem with adults being killed. Most likely the pro-lifer probably did something other than speak out against child killing to warrant his death.

What a ridiculous comment, seriously. One media outlet (FOX) does not make the media "Conservative". Media is by-and-large liberal. :roll:

If the media was so conservative, why have they been silent on Van Jones (a communist) and the ACORN scandal.

This is right near where I live, though since I avoid watching the news on 9/11, I did not hear about it. From another local news source: WOO D TV8 | Anti abortion activist slain in Owosso

Compeau says the suspect, a 33-year-old Owosso man, told police he was involved in a second killing Friday. Sheriff's officials later found the body of a second man who had been shot in an office at the gravel pit he owned.

You can count on Faux News to be consistently biased. I get a big laugh at the majority of the rightwing who thiks that the maintstream media was biased against Bush when they were only reportingthe truth. FAUX NEWS usually will not know the truthit it tripped over it.

I read some more reprost on this and there is nothingthere about anyone
speaking out against child killing. The story was about someone who was displaying very graphic anti- abortion posters. Where did you read anything about "child killing" ? Are you reading some other story.

You may have misunderstood; what James seems to be saying is that we prochoicers enjoy killing children so much that he doubts we'd kill an adult. It doesn't fit our profile. it would be like a pedophile raping a middle-aged lady, if pedophilia were illegal and socially-sanctioned.
It's like, why bother killing an adult when what we really get off on is killing children, and we can do it cheaply (if not for free), and without facing any social or legal repercussions?

That was the point James was trying to make.

What he fails to understand is that we get extra points for killing victims who are unrelated to us.

and yet only fools on the left think the people on the right do not see the right leaning bias in Fox News, nor does those on the left seem to notice the overwhelming bias to the left that has existed for longer than Fox

I don't condone murder, and I think this whole thing is a tragedy. There is no excuse for what happened. I do want to say though that holding up graphic signs of aborted fetus's outside a school makes Pouillon a complete asshole.

I hate Communist with a passion for personal reasons since both of my Grandfathers were sent to Siberia becasue they owned "too much"/ Owned a bsiness" but where is your evidence that Jones is a Communists? I have read about ACORN in the media but why is ACORN such a concern that it's foibles need to to highlighted any more than any other organization that has gotten into trouble? Is your fixation on ACORN because President Obama long before he was President was an atttorney that worked with them? If your have that fixation then Dick Cheney should be in jail because of his business connections that the Bush administration helepd.

Totally agree that this in not a tragedy it is murder by an apparent whckjob and I agree completely that guy holding up "aborted fetus's outside a school " makes theat guy a permanent resident on the planet of pertpetual assholes.

how about the fact that ACORN gets looked at closer because the President is associated with it, and he tried to make them part of the Census. How about they get looked at closer because they are getting $8.5 BILLION in stimulus cash?

how about the fact that barry plans on fundamentally changing america and plans on implementing it with the help of ACORN & SEIU

Do you have proof that ACORN is getting 8.5 billion in stimulus cash? Links please?

How come the media didn't look closely at Haliburton as they are at ACORN. Even though Haliburton gave our troops bad food and water and built substandard facilities that harmed our own troops. Nevermind Cheney's stock being worth nothing before he entered office and his stocks being worth millions when he left office.

SEIU - Service Employees International Union

These folks helped write the stimulus bill. Now why on earth would a union have a hand in writing a bill passed by both houses of Congress and signed by the POTUS? Unions make up (brace yourself) a whopping 12% of the workforce in the US. Should such a minority have a stake in writing legislation that spends almost a trillion taxpayer dollars? SEIU has it's fingerprints all over the Obama administration.

What on earth does ACORN have to do with Halliburton? Can we try to stay on topic just once? But since you brought Halliburton up, if you were so concerned about Halliburton, shouldn't you be just as concerned with ACORN and SEIU? Or would that be hypocritical of you to have issue with one and not the other? Of course it would, but I'll let you figure it out.

DeeJayH misspoke regarding the 8.5 billion dollar figure. ACORN stands to gain a portion of the 8.5 billion figure set aside for community organizations in the stimulus bill (again, written with the help of SEIU). SEIU and ACORN just happen to share offices with each other, coincidence since both of these groups have the President's ear on an almost daily basis? I think not.

Both the conservative and liberal media are biased, and both are fed by sensationalism.
And fewer people will watch the news and even less will trust the news.
Maybe all of our news service should be nationalized.
And Walter Cronkite will be rolling over in his grave.

Anyone who gets their news from just one source is an idiot. I've said this over and over again. You have to look at all sides if you want the truth. FOX News has an angle and an agenda to push, as does CNN, MSNBC, ETC... Simply watching MSNBC because you are a liberal doesn't mean that you are getting the truth. Simply watching FOX News because you are a conservative doesn't mean that you are getting the truth. The problems begin when media outlets refuse to cover the news because it goes against their agenda, which is what we have seen with the Van Jones issue, the ACORN issue, etc... The media is supposed to be the watchdogs over government. We saw the likes of MSNBC and CNN go after the Bush administration while FOX pretty much gave a pass, and the left mocked FOX for this. Now that the tables have turned and it is FOX going after the Obama administration and the MSNBC's and CNN's giving the pass, where is the mockery of MSNBC and CNN from the left? Nowhere, they still mock FOX. Funny how the hypocrisy is crystal clear when one is a realist.
