In the Senate, Democrats in the so called "Gang of Six," began moving quickly to close the loophole Rep. Joe Wilson helped bring to light with his outburst during President Obama's address to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday night.

So it seems that Mr. Wilson was correct and that Mr. Obama was lieing threw his teeth when he said that no Illegal Allians would be covered. So does this mean that Mr. Obama is going ot Apologies to the nation for Lieing.

From the Article,

Among three House committees to pass bills for health reform, only one expressly bans federal funding for proving health coverage to illegal immigrants.

"The Congressional Research Service has indicated that indeed the bills that are before Congress would include illegal aliens," Wilson said. "And I think this is wrong."

Indeed, the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service study found that the House health care bill does not restrict illegal immigrants from receiving health care coverage.

House Republican Minority Leader John Boehner amplified the complaint that without proof of citizenship, illegal immigrants could be insured.

"There were two opportunities for House Democrats to make clear that illegal immigrants wouldn't be covered by putting in requirements to show citizenships," he said. "Both of those amendments were, in fact, rejected."

So here it is folks Mr. Obama lied to the American People now lets here the call for him to explain why he lied.

Joe Wilson is going to go down the same historical road as Joe McCarthy: A great American that got a bum rep for doing what he had to do to protect his country.

We can't allow the same injustice happen this time.

Joseph McCarthy did what he had to do to protect his country?

He got his bum rep for making reckless and unsubstantiated claims about his political opponents.

Alright let stay on the topic and not bring in Strawmen into this. The Topic at hand is that Mr. Wilson called mr. Obama out lastnight and low and behold he was right Mr. Obama lied threw his teeth.

A political witch hunt was necessary to protect the country? Subpoenaing anyone who criticized McCarthy or the hearings was necessary to protect the country? Don't be ridiculous. McCarthy was a demagogue, plain and simple. He was nothing more than a right-wing Hugo Chavez.

whether or not obama was lying is irrelevant. when the president is making a speech you are to be respectful, whether you agree with what he is saying or not. it's not some kind of school assembly where everyone is quietly laughing at the principal and the class clown decides to act out.

Joe McCarthy's work uncovered the Rosenbergs, so don't say he did nothing to protect the country.

The members of the government that he exposed as communists, were communists. You need to read about Pumpkin Papers that exposed Alger Hiss.

Joe McCarthy was a great American who willingly sacrificed his life and reputation in defense of this nation.

Please show me in the US Constitution were it states when the President of the United States is giving a speech to Congress that Congress needs to be quite. Shall I bring up the Feb. 2 2005 State of Union Speech were the Democrates boo Mr. W Bush not once but many times.

I will say this for Joe Wilson: He livened it up a bit. Was it childish and unprofessional? Of course. But it was pretty mild compared to the typical behavior of the British Parliament. :lol:

How about section 370 of the House Rules and Manual.

DECORUM IN THE HOUSE AND IN COMMITTEES

It was just as, if not more, disrespectful what happened in 2005.

Which is Un-Constitutional and if it was me I would inform the Leadership to go **** themself and if they didn't like that then I suggest to the Leadership would you care to walk over to the United States Supreme Court and let the Justice Decide this once and for all.

Oh please show me in Article II Section 3 where is says that the President can't be heckled while he is making a speech to Congress.

How is having floor rules in the house of representatives unconstitutional?

Article 1 section 5 states that: Each House may determine the rules of its proceedings, punish its members for disorderly behavior, and, with the concurrence of two thirds, expel a member.

So according to the constitution the house is allowed to make their rules that were posted by mckinney and their members are supposed to follow them

Good god now you're going back to the 1st amendment again after accusing obama of violating it last night. What part of the house making rules in article 1 section 5 do you not understand?

But that si a directed violation of the 1st adm and needs to be sent to the US Supreme Court to be decide. Freedom of Speech trumps any rules that Article 1 Section 5 puts in place they must comply with the Bill of Rights.

Any rule(s) that the House makes that trumps Free Speech is in violation of the 1st Adm that is what is trumped. Yes the House can make it's own rules but it can't stop Freedom of Speech.

Joe McCrthy ACCUSED President Eisenhauer and his entire cabinet of being Communists or Commie Symps. Before you call Joe McCarthy a "great" anything you really need to learn something about American history. So you're saying the amendments trump the body of the constitution. You're being ridiculous. Having rules for decorum is not a violation of the 1st amendment. Do you know when the 1st amendment does not apply?
