So whats stopping you from looking any of these people up? Most of them have served in prior posts and have pretty extensive resumes

I'm all for congress looking into who these people are, and their qualifications.

And just to be clear, whether they have broken the law, is not the standard that should be used to deem them qualified, or not qualified for the position they've been appointed to.

How was Brownie qualified for FEMA? Why weren't there these demands prior to the Katrina fiasco? And what about Henry Paulson? The former CEO of Goldman Sachs comes on board as Treasury Secretary to Bush and through AIG bags billions for Goldman Sachs?

I just can't wrap my head around all these demands now and not during Bush's terms.

Partisan politics is all this is.
    Alex Carey:

... the 20th century has been characterized by three developments of great political importance: The growth of democracy, the growth of corporate power, and the growth of corporate propaganda as a means of protecting corporate power against democracy.

Australian social scientist, quoted by Noam Chomsky in World Orders Old and New

No surprise there. Maybe Byrd could explain it to you.

I'd say the head of FEMA is a far more important position than Advisor to the president on green jobs. Seems your outrage is a bit one sided

There's a difference between "renouncing these ideas before he was hired" and "renouncing these ideas after he was caught saying them."
