You'd have no problem if a Republican president appointed an ex-Nazi to a position of equal importance? What if that ex-Nazi also claimed that Bill Clinton was involved in 9/11? and then said that Democrats are assholes? and then made racial comments that were iffy at best?

The real story is media bias. If this happened in a Republican administration, does anyone think that there wouldn't have been a **** storm by the media as soon as this guy was appointed?

The party that is destroying people's lives is the Republican party right now and it's disgusting. God forbid people see facts and actually base opinion on those facts. The uproar and crazed lunacy from the conservatives is beyond anything I have ever seen. It's time to stop.
Renouncing them isn't enough. I wouldn't want an ex-Nazi or an ex-communist in such an important position regardless of which party was in the White House. Besides, you're not being factually correct. A couple of these controversies came AFTER he was appointed.

The Republicans didn't put a gun to his head and make him resign. They just reported what he did.

You know what they say, though . . .

    In DC, no one "quits."

Doesn't Pence receive quite a bit in donations from the crazy Blackwater CEO Erik Prince?

Yup, you're right, the Republicans offer no solutions to modern problems. They just yell and scream and create uproar with reckless abandon. They are certainly no party to be trusted to fix the mess Washington is in. Good thing I'm not a Republican. Both parties are fundamentally flawed, neither side stands for anything but more government and spending (Republicans = military spending, Democrats = domestic spending), and both parties have created, are creating, and will continue to create a massive bureaucratic clusterf*** in Washington. This is not a conservative vs. liberal issue, this is an issue of fixing our government. And there is absolutely no reason why an avowed Marxist fundamentally opposed to Jeffersonian democracy and Lockean theory should be allowed to be part of the solution. We don't need Czars; you can't get much more fundamentally opposed to republican democracy than a Czar. Why not call them Kaisers, or Fuhrers, or Emperors, or some other name that reeks of despotism. Here's an idea, stop being a partisan hack, get your head out of the sand for 2 minutes, LOOK AT THE FACTS, and admit when you're side is wrong. Until then, your opinion can't be taken seriously.

When you take a hard look at the, "solutions", that Dems are presenting, I'll go with no solution at all.

Glenn Beck statement on resignation of Van Jones
    September 6, 2009 - 18:38 ET

The American people stood up and demanded answers. Instead of providing them, the Administration had Jones resign under cover of darkness. I continue to be amazed by the power of everyday Americans to initiate change in our government through honest questioning, and judging by the other radicals in the administration, I expect that questioning to continue for the foreseeable future.

    Great response!

It's obvious by the fact that Jones resigned late Saturday night, on a holiday weekend, that the Obama administration has no intention of explaining why they ever appointed this man in the first place. They want to sweep this under the rug, and I'm sure that the main stream media will be more than glad to help them do so.

That's the problem. The Dems are offering solutions, though horrible and ridiculous as they may be. But what plans have the Republicans offered for fixing the corporate medicene-funded healthcare debacle in this country? None. The problem is that the majority of the people think that the Democrats solutions are the only ones.

Fortunately, the majority of people think that the Democrats' "solutions" aren't solutions.
