Cameron Todd Willingham, Texas, and the death penalty : The New Yorker

090907_r18772_p465.jpg

Cameron Todd Willingham in his cell on death row, in 1994. He insisted upon his innocence in the deaths of his children and refused an offer to plead guilty in return for a life sentence. Photograph by Ken Light.

It seems Mr Willingham has been put to death for a crime he did not commit. I wonder what is the plan for reparation now. Any thought?

The judicial system in Texas is proof that, if you give pitchforks to hillbillies, they will go out and find a witch to burn.
