Snowe Looking To Deal On Healthcare

If Snowe can be persuaded to go along with the Democrats proposals I think Collins will go along with it too. They usually stick together.

I am going to hold out for the public option. I don't trust anyone in the Republican party right now.

(Pssst! The Democrats don't need any Republicans to pass any damn thing they want!)

Why is this news? Olympia is the the biggest damn RINO in Congress. She was the second biggest, but Spectre switched parties.

She also got re-elected with something like 74% of the vote. She is representing us.

Then quit complaining about using reconciliation to pass with a simple majority vote.

So what? Charlie Rangel is representing us, too. Teddy represented us, in between Chappaquidic jokes. Getting elected multiple times doesn't give a politician more credibility.

Stop crying about the Connies messing up your game plan.

I'm not crying. But I do wish the sore losers would quit crying.

complaining babies.

They should stuff it, and let democracy go forward.

Charlie Rangel is not representing me. Olympia Snowe is.

I am not Charlie Rangel's constituent. I am Olympia Snowe's constituent.
She is representing her state as the vast majority of us wish her to.

I'm performing my patriotic duty and questioning our political leaders.

Questions are good.
Whining and crying about majority votes is lame.

I don't think you did that, did you? I know some others think it's some kind of BIG CRIME if health care legislation passes with *gasp* FIFTY-ONE votes

wah wah wah ....

No one's crying about a majority vote. The only crying I hear is from the Libbos about how the Righties are messing everything up. The Libbos have the votes, they should man up and pass the bill and stop blaming their own cowardice on everyone else.

Oh, you're wrong about that. I've seen multiple republicans on my teevee and in print crying about just that. And by crying I mean whining.

Fortunately for those of us who support both of our Republican Senators we are getting the type of representation that we voted for.

Both Snowe and Collins are aware of how health care reform will benefit our state which has a large rural population and limited options when trying to purchase health care insurance.

Yes, you are crying. You are trying to tie election results with your desire for NHC/UHC as proof that people want it, even when the facts don't support your thesis.

They should stuff it, and let democracy go forward.
Wrong, first, we're a democratic republic, second, that pesky constitution is finally being defended after years of neglect, so our country is finally being respected, too bad it had to deteriorate this much. The fact that your side is whining for everyone else doing the legally correct thing would make your side the whining sore losers wouldn't it?

wah wah wah ...... I spotted me one of those whiners who don't like majority votes.

One of the great puzzlers, why does the right so often accuse others of what they are doing.

Pay attention. No crying. But I do see me some of that.

Well, I only voted for one of them ;), but I support both of them. They are my Senators.

The other half of my household voted for both of them, although I tried persuasion. Just was unsuccessful

In all seriousness, I do think they both fully understand the pressures we Mainers are under with regard to health insurance. I hope they both vote for passage of reform legislation.

New England common sense. I wish they could can it and sell it.

Don't confuse laughing hysterically with whining, even though at a certain point they are easy to confuse. The Democrat party wants UHC, if the country did as well it would have been passed, but as is these seat fillers in the halls of congress are in a solid majority with the executive and they cannot pass the bill, this means that vulnerable Democrats are scared ****less and running, which I think is hilarious since the stronger Democrats are not getting their way and bitching about it, their only defense is "we won the election, so do what we say". Trust me, I am laughing myself into a coma right now, and the egg is squarely on the faces of the statists right now.

Yeah, they can call it "contradiction in terms" in a can. That one's on me, you can have it.:rofl

What kind of pressure are you under that's different from anyone else?
