It wouldn't be a government handout to the Welfare Class without the public option and that's the only reason for the so called reform, anyway.

Yea, that's a smart idea, let the government run it's own insurance company, yea.

This is not about competition is it? If it was, then there would be no point to go nuclear and you should be satisfied with busting monopolisitc insurance companies.

a company can't be evil, only those running the company can be evil. i'm wondering why a conservative would be worried about competition?

The reason they need reform is so that they can have something to demand from the government. Trust me, Government Healthcare isn't going to be enough for the libs. After they win that, they will demand something else more expansive.

    and that changes the meaning...why?
i'm wondering why a conservative would be worried about competition?
Because competition is good for the markets. Bust the companies into tiny ones and prices will fall, all out of the principals of economics. And it's laizzes faire too.

Oh, it's going to be free for the welfare class. You can bet on that. You don't actually believe that the government is going to suddenly start charging people for health care that have been getting everything for free for three generations, do you? All thos illegal aliens aren't going to be stuck with a bill when they go to American hospitals.

Because the government shouldn't be in "competition" with private industry in a production or service industry.

Microsoft needed "competition" as well in the 90's. Was the government supposed to set up a software shop? The potential need for "competition" in a market does not mean that the answer should be the GOVERNMENT becoming the competitor with the TAX PAYERS being the people funding said competition.
