Conservatives want serious health debate

They do right now....what are you talking about?
THAT is their rate. :doh
No, its not. They dont HAVE a 1st class postage rate.
They have same day, overnite, etc, but they dont have a rate for anything that compares to first class postage.

And so, as I said, you're not comparing apples to apples.

Thus, your guarantee isn't worh the paper its printed on.

Look at their rates. Read carefully. It is broken down into overnight and standard (4 day delivery for $5.00+).

Here....I will make it easy by cutting and pasting:

End of day(4 Business Days) FedEx Ground® 5.67

I did. My statements stand.

Obviously not....look up

Obviously so, as your example doesnt address the issue I presented.

When you can compare apples and apples and still support your guarantee, let me know.

You're dancing again Stinger.....er....Goob.

Bottom line:

If I have a one ounce letter I can send it through the USPS from LA to NY for
(what is it now .44 cents)

OR

I can send it ground FedEx for $5.67 and it will arrive in 4 days.

I bet the USPS gets it there within 4 days as well.

See how efficient Government run services can be?

Ah - your standard response to me once you know you cannot suppert your position.

This is how I know you've admitted defeat.

Have a wonderful day!

Sorry Goob....just calling the shuffle where it is. You supported nothing. I supported it with actual business figures. But your mentor taught you well....shuffle off to buffalo.

NEWS FLASH

The CBO just sent a letter to the Ways and Means committee, which states the following:

Overall, CBO estimates that enacting the proposed changes would lead to an average increase in premiums for Part D beneficiaries, above those under current law, of about 5 percent in 2011. That effect would rise over time and reach about 20 percent in 2019. Beyond the 10-year budget window, the premiums would increase slightly more until the doughnut hole was eliminated in 2022; beyond that point, enrollees’ premiums would grow along with the cost for covered drugs. As already noted, the proposed changes would also reduce beneficiaries’ average cost sharing and their average total drug spending. The net effect on drug spending would differ among beneficiaries depending on the amount of their purchases in a year.

More bad news for seniors.

I can guarantee that if the Post Office didn't exist and it were left to private companies, we'd be paying $2-3 dollars to mail a letter.

I doubt anyone in the private sector would step in to fill the void at this point. In the internet age there is simply not sufficient demand for postal services for a company to make a profit at it. Its really a hold over from the industrial age.

This has nothing to do with government mismanagement of the program, its just a symptom of out of control health care cost inflation.

Conservatives should push for a serious health care debate. The libs want to wreck the health care industry and control people with their bill. Look at the stimulus bill that passed and failed. All it would do is hurt the country. I enjoy how Obama calls people immoral if they oppose his bill and state to Christians that we should support it blindly because Jesus would (in Obama's opinion).
oh stop it......nobody wants to "control people".... and btw, experts now agree the stimulus plan seems to be working. and when, exactly, did obama say christians should blindly supprt the bill? you can't back up anything you posted.

Yes, yes -- keep telling yourself that.

when and where did he say that? and it is my experience that the left is more likely to let us live as we please, while the right wants to "guide" us in the paths of righteousness....

Better then the rate of increase we are seeing now.

How is giving up beer and cigs going to help us afford it?

On average, a major medical policy is not that expensive....
My DIL and her 3 kids have a major medical policy good for $3 million each, $1500 deductible per person, $5K family maximum deductible, well under $400 per month....
Her husband, our son, is covered by his employer, to add his family is about $1,000 per month, and that is a lousy HMO....

It's pretty hard having a serious debate if you get threatened to be sent in front of a death panel made up of Social Communists if you lose.

Such a thing only exists in the feeble minds of extreme right gullible fanatics....
