Key Democrat suggests party moderates 'brain dead'


WASHINGTON (AP) - A key House liberal suggested Thursday that party moderates who've pushed for changes in health care legislation are "brain dead" and out for insurance company campaign donations.

Moderate Blue Dog Democrats "just want to cause trouble," said Rep. Pete Stark, D-Calif., who heads the health subcommittee on the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee.

"They're for the most part, I hate to say, brain dead, but they're just looking to raise money from insurance companies and promote a right-wing agenda that is not really very useful in this whole process," Stark told reporters on a conference call.
 
Way to bring the party together to pass effective health care reform.
 
The reason the far left democrats attack their own, is because they don't care about anything but their radical liberal agenda. They no longer care about what's best for the country, and they sure as hell couldn't be bothered with what the American people want.

They think if they yell, scream and attack those that oppose them, this will intimidate them, and they will fall in line like good little liberal soldiers. What they didn't count on, was some of their own people having a conscience, and daring to do what they were elected to do... Serve America.

I think you are looking at this from too much of a partisan view. The liberal crazies are no more crazy than the far right crazies. The extremes of both parties live most of their lives on the planet Uranus.

Actually as we have seen the Blue Dogs have both bark and bite, they wont fall in line. Pelosi has had trouble with them since day one.

The "moderates" do not have the Country's best interest at heart....they have Corporate interests at heart.....At this very moment they are raking in huge sums of cash from the Insurance Lobby, the Drug Industry Lobby, and others. That right there will tell you what side you and they are on!

Your "side" doesn't represent average Americans. You've been duped. You're a tool for corporate interests. The right wing in America is so proudly ignorant they vote for insurance and drug companies interests before their own...LOL
