ah.......got me.
Schools are not there for political statements. It is their for education and they have their own rules that must be followed.
I would not accept any form of politics or religious statements to be entered in school time.
If someone wishes to make their voice heard in UK, Go protest. Or lobby your MP, or even better! Go speakers corner.
Just not in school.
Why can that shirt not be worn on the street? No one is preventing them
people you do realise according to christianity anyone not Christian is going to hell right?
Not according to the Catholics.
people you do realise according to christianity anyone not Christian is going to hell right?
What are you talking about?
They claim they can't say with any certainty who is in hell and who isn't.
hell.......baptists believe catholics are going to hell.
making generalizations. it's what i do best.
All of them or are you making generalizations again?
I had a good friend when I was in elementary school and claiming Catholicism as my religion. He was Baptist, I remember him clearly telling me that his dad said I'm going to hell because I'm Catholic. I had a lot of doubts about religions and gods even back then, but this one really starting me thinking about the absurdities of religion and churches.
Anecdotal, no?
and most baptists do believe that. catholics pray to saints, and baptists also believe baptism as an infant isn't good enough.
i've even heard the word pagan used.........
I wasn't making the claim all Baptists do that. I was making the claim that at least one did. Baptists may have taken a formal claim that those with personal experiences with Jesus go to heaven, but not all of them preach that. The varying sects of Christianity all have their little peculiarities (well all religion really), the Baptists, at least the ones I knew, had a habit of telling Catholics they were going to hell. There was a lot of anti-Catholic attitudes out there for some time for a reason I couldn't really begin to understand.
Like I said, each baptist church is autonomous. What you experienced can not be logically applied to the whole group.

really? they don't believe one has to be "saved"?
