Then let me help you, Baptists believe that anyone who has a personal relationship with Jesus will indeed go to heaven. The label on thier church is irrellevant.

I had a good friend when I was in elementary school and claiming Catholicism as my religion. He was Baptist, I remember him clearly telling me that his dad said I'm going to hell because I'm Catholic. I had a lot of doubts about religions and gods even back then, but this one really starting me thinking about the absurdities of religion and churches.

and most baptists do believe that. catholics pray to saints, and baptists also believe baptism as an infant isn't good enough.

I wasn't making the claim all Baptists do that. I was making the claim that at least one did. Baptists may have taken a formal claim that those with personal experiences with Jesus go to heaven, but not all of them preach that. The varying sects of Christianity all have their little peculiarities (well all religion really), the Baptists, at least the ones I knew, had a habit of telling Catholics they were going to hell. There was a lot of anti-Catholic attitudes out there for some time for a reason I couldn't really begin to understand.

    Link? Proof?

Baptists are not a unified central controlled church, you know that right?

I hear most liberals smoke crack and prostitute themselves. See I can do that too!

Like I said, each baptist church is autonomous. What you experienced can not be logically applied to the whole group.

And like I said, I wasn't saying all of them did it.

    Agna:

Tinker was about EXPLICITLY political speech. The schools have a right to prohibit disruptive messages, and that right has been upheld repeatedly.
