Ted Kennedy Dies of Brain Cancer at Age 77

RIP Senator Kennedy. Condolences from the people of Massachusetts and the people of America alike.

He also served his country by being in the military. Something many people do not do.

RIP Ted

Interesting, I never knew that he had served. But here is the pertinent info regarding his education and service in the military; the man makes Bush appear statesmanlike. :rofl

Kennedy earned C grades at the private Milton Academy, but was admitted to Harvard as a "legacy" -- his father and older brothers had attended there, so the younger and dimmer Kennedy's admission was virtually assured. While attending, he was expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a classmate to cheat for him. While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly signed up for four years instead of two. His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to England, pulled the necessary strings to have his enlistment shortened to two years, and to ensure that he served in Europe, not Korea, where a war was raging. Kennedy was assigned to Paris, never advanced beyond the rank of Private, and returned to Harvard upon being discharged.

Doubt it. The Kennedy's regardless of what people think of them are the closest thing America has to royalty. The fact that the last truly visible member of the family has died would make it worthy enough for them cover everything from what he'll wear to the coffin to what food they'll give the guests at the wake.

who serves food at wakes ?? That is beyond gross!! Drinking hard liquor heavily is appropriate, but food !!! Gimme a break !! Disgusting !!!

PS after the funeral ok, serve a repast and drink again !!!

The classy thing would be not to say anything then instead of the rabid right exposing themselves as nothing but partisan assholes.

:rofl Nothing more amusing than watching a rabid partisan whine about rabid partisans; got hypocrisy?

:2wave:

Ted Kennedy

just goes to show you Bushes like Kennedy's can make things happen for their kids !!

....Hahahaha. Conservative men shed tears for ugly dead bitches.

------------------------------------------------------------

Now call me classless! I want to play! I want to play! I want people outraged at my comments!

Who can be outraged by something that is so expected from you and typical?

:rofl

you also did not read what I wrote !!!

"" Did he get away with that because of his family ties? Yes, most likely! Was either case a justification for the other? No!! The last I will say about the cocaine snorter at least no one died!! "

Are you talking about Obama again? SHAME on you; he couldn't hep it. :rofl

Good riddance scumbag; I hope Mary Jo is waiting for you at them pearly gates so that you can be properly judged in lieu of the pass you received from the voters of Massachusettes.

This jackass will not be missed by me. :2wave:

Honestly, what the hell is wrong with you? Can't you swallow your pride, and put your opinion to the side? When one cheers the death on another, it's a great show of human character. I don't care if you agree or disagree with his actions, you should at least show a little respect to the man, the family, and the legacy.

Yeah. 30 million people living in dirty ass, poor, underfed, extremely politically corrupt, mob ridden Mexico wouldn't have come to America otherwise. Have you ever been outside of your state and ventured to Mexico? It's like Zimbabwe down there. In Spanish and with Tacos.

Have you ever been to Zimbabwe?

As for Mexico, I have been down there a lot and love the chaos of the unbridled Capitalism that occurs there. The bus rides are like an E ticket joy ride and you walk the sidewalks at your own peril if you are not paying attention or for women wearing heels; but the lack of the PC BS here in the USA is comforting.

The notion that Mexico is anything remotely close to Zimbabwe's dictatorial Socialist economic basket case requires willful ignorance.

could one of the mods wake the **** up and put this rancid thread down in the sewer where it belongs?

Could you do us all a favor and learn to use the PM/report function? It ain't rocket science.

Ted Kennedy was a polarizing figure. Why should people be forbidden from expressing antipathy as well as affection for him after his death?

It's not like he cares, HE'S DEAD.

The legacy of a cheat, a hypocrite a politically corrupt politician and person who committed manslaughter and chose not to report for almost 24 hours?

Yeah right; carry on with your respect of despicable assholes. :rofl

Pride? What parallel universe are you living in? This isn't about pride; this is about reality, something you apparently prefer to avoid. :rofl

Respect has to be earned. He didn't. ;)

.

She'll probably give him a blowjob when he gets up there. You know. Just to make up for the one she had to cut short in the 60s.

NICE Hatuey; you continue to be the shining poster child for Liberalism. I am so proud of you!

Somehow I knew you'd ignore the fact that he has served his country all along.

And the reality is that you look like a immoral fool dancing on Kennedy's grave. How can you sit here and cheer on someone's death, whether you believe what is said about him or not?

Sure Kennedy made plenty of enemies, but that shouldn't be his legacy. He was a US Senator and a war veteran. For that matter, every American should honor his passing with a minimal amount of humanity.

It is palinly obvious that both extremes have posted classless things on this thread and I do not even want to bother going back to dtermine which political pole the first asshole who posted a dispicably classless thing was from.

A pox on both of your houses.

OH really? Will there be a loyalty test afterwards? Americans have mocked the passing of public figures since our inception. It's nothing new, and it's certainly nothing to get your panties in a wad about. You're sad? Sorry. I remain apathetic. He didn't represent me, he made a lot of poor choices, and I didn't support him. Nor do I believe he was a good statesman or leader.

How people feel about you after your death is largely a function of how you lived.

As an actual veteran who served in a war I challenge your calling Kennedy a "war veteran". He was a veteran becasue he did serve and like Bush w he did not serve in a war. Therefore if people disparage The Bush w for not being an actuall war vetaran we cannotfalsly grant that title to Kennedy either.

Wow...only you could find a way to ruin things when most of us are having fun. Go home. You've ruined our fun.

Ted Kennedy was a self serving, spoiled, silver spoon fed bastard who skated through his entire life on his brother's good name and his father's money.

Today the world just got a little bit better.

Nothing like a little feigned outrage to start the day.

Why do you care how people feel about his passing? For some reason, I doubt you'd be as riled up if someone on the right had passed and hyper-partisan liberals were bashing him/her just as much.

not that it should be "forbidden from expressing antipathy as well as affection for him after his death" but in civil socity one does not disparage the dead with the exception if the dead was a Communist, Russian-Communist or a Nazi !! Those three types of fecal matter do not deserve anyone's respect, either alive or dead !!!

Death is tragic. I believe that the death of anybody is a matter that should be treated with some humanity. It really isn't fair to the person who passed, nor is it fair to their family, if opponents continue to slander the deceased.
