Well this is getting off topic, but what do YOU really know about immigrants. I happen to know some personally, I grew up with them around me. Two are my parents, and none snuck over the border. Trust me, you don't want to go down this road, I know what I'm talking about. Anyway, back to Kennedy?

Well maybe to an extent, but he had behavioral issues that made headlines. Like partying like a frat boy at age 60+ with boys 1/3 his age. I don't consider him a great man, nor an example citizen. Cancer is tough, but I won't celebrate the man.

Accomplishments can be bad too, TD. So she might have a point.

So on a lighter note, I am curious what ethnic background were your immigrant parents?

Did you vote before you were 21? You can thank Ted Kennedy for that. I also know he did many things on the Civil Rights front, I just can't name any specifics off of the top of my head.

He amended the Voting Rights Act in 1970 to lower the voting age to 18, laying the basis for a constitutional amendment moving the voting age from 21 to age 18.
