I will act however I wish to act in regards to death, and your approval or disapproval are nothing but an opportunity for mockery.

You, sir, and I use the term loosely, are no American, in your zeal to silence free speech.

    Dead wrong on various points.

I am a new user and I am not fronting for an old user.

Your guess is as wrong as your crazy behavior towards Ted Kennedy's passing. No Congressmen, Senator in Washington would condone your vacuous comments.

They would, rightfully and hastily, distance themselves from you, as you are not a serious individual with nothing serious things to say.

Your wretched effort to turn your comments into a kind of debate about your "freedom" is quite fantastic.

And you are right, I am no American.

    I am a Canadian.

Can't we get a Canuck quota on this forum? I'm so tired of being told how to behave by people who aren't even from this country.

My view, although unhappy, is the truth. Ted's dead and you will join him sooner or later. Americans need to stop sensationalizing death and acting all ****ing mopey every time it happens. Ted's dead...it doesn't change anything in the real world. Life goes on.

One way or the other, I can't really see how insulting dead people promotes anyone's ideas, arguments or values.
    Please elaborate?
Zyph's comment just annoyed me, is all. If people want to **** on Ted Kennedy's memory then I don't see any problem with that. His being dead doesn't change anything he did while alive.

Who cares? Hugo Chavez is an "American" in the technical sense.

Ummmm quick question. Can we bring family? I mean I could knock out three birds with one stone at a funeral where we'll have BBQ, Coronas and music. Also I know a few strippers who'd love to have a funeral on their resumes and a bunch of young guys on DP who need sex. Dav needs to get laid. We could do this like as a yearly thing. Just show up at Catz grave and have like a big ass DP get together.

The man died. That is what is summated in the original post. It was also noted that it was his life's passion to see UHC passed. Let's bicker about it why don't we. Let's turn it into a debate. Arguably the last influential Kennedy is dead. So let us politicize it. Let us whine about how its on our "news" channels all day. Let us debate his historic influence.

    Oh so inconsiderate.

I will mourn for a few moments with the normal people and move on.
    and so it goes...

    boo-de-frickin-hoo.
Yes, a man who lost three brothers in service to this great country, two most likely assasinated by crazed right-wingers. And yet, he was brave enough to continue on, championing the causes of the poor and downtrodden. Instead of selling out to whichever corporations would pay him the most , he worked on passing legislation that helped all - - from civil rights, the handicapped, to to schip for kids. There's no telling the countless lives that have been saved or bettered by this man, who yes, was far from perfect.

I of course realize the rabid right have and will always hate anything Kennedy, but I had a sliver of hope that more than a few would wait one day before flinging their vile feces, but once again I misunderestimated the foul vulgarity of the classless cons.

"My brother need not be idealized, or enlarged in death beyond what he was in life; to be remembered simply as a good and decent man, who saw wrong and tried to right it, saw suffering and tried to heal it, saw war and tried to stop it. Those of us who loved him and who take him to his rest today, pray that what he was to us, and what he wished for others will some day come to pass for all the world. As he said many times, in many parts of this nation, to those he touched and who sought to touch him: 'Some men see things as they are and say why. I dream things that never were and say why not.'"
-- June 1968, eulogizing his brother, Robert
