Ted Kennedy Dies of Brain Cancer at Age 77

I find this effort extremely important.

I will not allow his memory to be stained by wacky internet posters.

So you find it extremley important to sign up to a random debate forum site and defend some d00ds name?

His memory won't be tarnished by a few internet posters. Kennedy was a great man and a man with flaws. Some choose to focus on his humanness and flaws rather than his accomplishments.:2wave:

I know, Vehicular manslaughter is such a minor flaw.

Thats not why I signed up.

But, again, I will stubbornly defend him from wacky internet posters.

:2wave: Catz, will there be a dress code at your grave? I just bought some black stilletto heel ankle boots to go with a pair of black skinny jeans. I'm looking for an excuse to wear them. Also, would making out with DP members be discouraged? Or is that part of the party? I want to follow proper protocol.

No, it isn't. He had a drinking problem and fought alcoholism his whole life. It's common for an alcholic to be involved in car accidents, and his was tragic.

His drinking problem killed someone, his family got him out of trouble...

A drinking problem is not a "minor flaw" but a pretty major one when it leads to the death of another.

Nice to see you rev.:2wave:

I know, I am excited to see me as well! :2razz:

Moderator's Warning:
Alright, going to call a point of order here.

The thread is teetering on the edge right now of simply being locked and archieved. The personal attacks need to stop and the off topic posts (that yes, I did a couple as well), especially those just utterly and entirely ripping entire countries both need to cease.

If you want to be negative, that's fine. If you want to give condolences, that's fine. If you want to discuss why one is approrpriate or not appropriate, that's fine. If you want to discuss his life, that's fine.

But the personal attacks and the heaps of off topic trolling end of this is being locked.

Thank you.:2wave:

Slutty attire and promiscuous sex will be strongly encouraged.

The only tragic part of Kennedy's drunken accident was his efforts to cover his manslaughter up by waiting 24 hours to report it (because he knew he would go to jail if he had to give a breathalyzer) and not attempt to save the life he ended with his grossly negligent and irresponsible behavior.

Good lord; how can ANYONE defend this????

You are such the tease! :rofl

No one is defending the Chappaquidick fatal accident. The man had an otherwise distinguished senate career and I offer condolences to the Kennedy family who have suffered so many tragedies.

He was an addict! It wasn't his fault!! It was that demon alcohol!!!

This appears to be your general stance. Every other member of the forum's opinion is irrelevant unless it agrees with your own.:rofl
Trolling me now? I'm flattered!

Your insults mean nothing, they are a wasted effort and have fallen on deaf ears.

If you think I will respond in kind, you are very wrong.

Well that pretty much sums up the grand total of what you have said in this whole thread.

You should have taken your own advice.

Now back to the zombie Ted Kennedy show....

Sarah Palin's Facebook 'Friends' Celebrate Ted Kennedy's Death: "One Less Socialist," "Good Riddens" | PEEK | AlterNet

"One commenter: "Now if we could just talk God into taking Arlin Spector, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi America would be Eutopia!"

This is to rich!

How is that comment trolling you. I'm noticing a pattern in your posts, that's all.

Unless someone agrees with you, you say his or her opinion is irrelevant.
In light of Zyph's admonishment above, how is that even remotely related to the topic at hand?
