Obama Approves New Team to Question Key Terror Suspects

I didn't have a problem with this when Bush did it and I don't have a problem with it now. I think it's well within the powers of the president to exert this much control over the issue, regardless of what the Dems circa 02-08 said or what some Reps circa 09 may say.

My opposition comes from the creation of all the unanswerable czars. Too many 2 + 2's adding up here to suit me.

How is a "czar" any different from a cabinet member or an agency head?

I'm concerned for two reasons.

1) No one else needed all these people to work in his admin.

2) Cabinet members have never wielded the stroke that the czars do.

3) The czars haven't gone through any kind of vetting process. At least political appointees have to be checked out, first.

Pennetta is talking about quiting, moral is not high over there.

I know, but I heard on NPR today that even with the new team in place, there are concerns that the CIA will withhold intel in a sort of power struggle, as it were.

Any CIA agent that is found to have withheld intel should be tried and prosecuted...I don't care for what. You do not play pissy games with the safety of the country.

They forgot to mention that Anmesty International is part of the team.

It only seems good if one PRESUMES that the CIA wasn't capable of handling things the SAME way. What one has to ask themselves is; who does the CIA report to anyway? Oh that's right, the WHITE HOUSE/President.

So now we create another team in a different bureaucracy to do what the other bureaucracy already did or could do so that we can pretend to be doing something.

This is much like Obama's and Democrats economics; by dipping the bucket into one side of the economic lake, walking to the other side and pouring the water back in the lake with media fanfare exclaiming you are increasing the economic lake (aka economic pie or in other words, expanding GDP).

This doesn’t do anything more than provide empty rhetoric and propaganda on this issue.

Dude. Your rabid politics gets on my nerves. All I ever see you do is try and derail threads with your pointless and usually worthless rants about our Commander & Chief. I disagree with Obama about as much as you do, but I don't assume he is going to want terrorists to win or something that retarded. Your like the new version of Navy Pride.

No one is suggesting that Obama wants the terrorists to win; what is OBVIOUS are that his weak actions and attempts to impugn his political opponents for purely partisan political purposes will allow them to.

Democrats sticking the American people with a $1.6 trillion deficit don’t exactly make our nation stronger does it? Putting a different bureaucracy in charge of interrogations doesn't make it more effective does it?

Investigating and prosecuting CIA agents for trying to save American lives doesn't make us safer does it?

I don't find MrVic offensive, but rather funny and adding levity to the empty headed absurdity we are seeing from Liberal naive leaders like Obama and the Democrat morons that currently infest our Government with their rabid stupidity.

Two wrongs don't make a right, an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, etc.

Ah yes, the old trite yet ineffective and non-factual argument that terrorists will respond to much kinder and gentler actions and prove more willing to talk if we just understand them.

This is almost as absurd as suggesting that the current partisan political efforts of Democrats against their political opponents will now suddenly provide this nation with newfound respect and strike fear into our enemies.

:rofl

I am amazed, you know so little about me and yet you assume so much! If I am wishy-washy please tell me on which issues? You probably think anyone who doesn't want to bomb the entire Middle East is a "spineless liberal". I am in my 4th year of college at the University of Mississippi, with a major in Criminal Justice specifically Homeland Security, with a minor in History. So please assume that you know more about international and domestic terrorism than me, try that, please.

I'd be very surprised sir, if you knew the difference between shia and sunni beliefs, let alone any solution to the problems we are facing. How dare you assume that people who differ from you, somehow are weak, or spineless. You sir, are absurd.

Wow; got irony? Yet you presume so much about MrVic? :rofl

Yes, I have always found that 4 years of college are a great substitution for reality and actual experience rather than being the beginning of a long journey in the world where we start out with very simple naive beliefs and then after being slapped with reality and experience, grow up.

Some among like Obama still exhibit these naive foolish notions about the REAL world; hardly someone who needs defending.

Let me ask you something; what makes you such an expert in a topic you have ZERO experience with? Are you claiming to be one of the more unique Conservatives who study criminal Justice and History? Or are you claiming you are someone with "Conservative" principles while attacking fellow Conservatives and ignoring the rabid stupidity of those on the Liberal Left?

Please educate me on where you stand on the issues rather than de-rail the thread with your absurd personal vendetta against a fellow Conservative for reasons only the Liberals of the forum appear to be thanking you for.

Gee, what is next; the claim that only "Conaservatives" are hyper partisans on this forum? Gee, where have I heard that one before; oh yeah, from the "middle of the roaders" and Liberals who constantly infest the forum with their nonsensical notions about "partisan."

Cabinet members have to be "confirmed" by the Senate; there is oversight. There is no confirmation of "czars", they wield a lot of power and have little or zero oversight.

We should be wary of anyone who appoints so many czars to do the job Cabinet members can do.

And so by appointing another team at the FBI this won't happen? How so?
