What you think is a lot different from what Ridge actually said.

I'll ask you a third time. Where are Ridge's accusations? What exactly did he say? Show me a quote.

The act of "Pressing" him....IS the violation of law. Whether or not he did what they illegally PRESSED him to do is not important........Get it??

In his new book, the first Homeland Security chief, Tom Ridge, accuses top aides to President George W. Bush of pressing him to raise the terror alert level to influence the 2004 presidential election.

Ridge, a former Republican governor of Pennsylvania, says that he refused the entreaty just before the election from Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and Attorney General John Ashcroft, according to a summary of the book from publisher Thomas Dunne Books.

Which would be fine, if they had pressured him at all. Which by his own statements they did not.

According to his publisher. According to Ridge himself they did not. Once again, the publisher is trying to create controversy to sell books.

You proved that the publisher wants to sell books. It's hardly an unbiased source. Would you buy car A over car B merely because the seller of car A said it was a better car?

& I'll answer you for the last time......The best evidence we have (until the book comes out) is what the publisher says is in the book.
I believe the publisher. You can believe whatever fairy tales you wish.

Really? You're going to believe the publisher over what Ridge actually said?
