Analysis: Liberals tired of healthcare compromises [edited]

Good paying union jobs are being payed off. Why did PBO send 2 billion bucks to Brazil for oil and gas exploration if he was so interested in saving American jobs?

I am back to work as of Monday, due to the success of CARS, and am not in a union. Factchecking is gud.

Ok, all but one.

I do not have numbers, but I would suspect 50 % + of people who work in the auto industry are not in unions.

Why don't you come up with the numbers, then we can talk. I'm betting there's alot more than 50% that are union members.

Tell ya what, when 100% of the dealers have their money and there's not a bursting of this atificial auto bubble, then you can say I was wrong.

You're wrong now. Like I said....you guys may think you are fooling some...but you are so transparent that its not even funny.

You'd be arguing "the program was not popular enough" or "the program was too popular" regardless. Its like the boy who cried wolf.

The thing is, as both Reagan and Bush proved, no one loses elections due to big deficits.

The Republican Party has moved pretty far to the right and well outside of the mainstream of America. They are largely beholden to hard core activists in the base and conservative media. There is no chance of anything drawing bipartisan support with Republicans. The Limbaughs and Glen Becks out there just wont have it.

Most Americans are pragmatic and moderate, there problem with Democrats right now is that they believe the Democrats are trying to do too much and spend too much instead of focusing on nothing but economic recovery. That does not mean that they are all of a sudden resurrecting that long gone Reagan Coalition again though. They are pissed off at the Democrats right now, but they hate Republicans.
The Republican Congress lost because of uncontrolled spending and deficits.

People get cars, people get jobs, so what's the problem? We can't just look at the benefits and ignore the problems. When you artificially increase demand, you will increase prices. I don't expect that to be the main problem though. We can't ignore the fact that we badly invested a lot of money. What would you have done if you could have spent $4500 on yourself? Would you have paid off bills? Put money into your savings? I'll tell you what: you probably would have been more self-sufficient with that money. The CARS program is just another tool to make us think that we need the government to coddle us.
