Liberal activists say there's no point in the Democrats winning the House, Senate and White House unless they use their clout to enact the major measures that Obama campaigned for with or without some Republican support (Absolutely!)

"It is clear that Republicans have decided 'no health care' is a victory for them," Andy Stern, president of the Service Employees International Union, said in an interview. "There is a point at which bipartisanship reaches a limit, and I would say it's reaching that limit (DUH!)

Grassley told an Iowa crowd he would not support a plan that "determines when you're going to pull the plug on Grandma." The remark echoed conservative activists who wrongly claim a House health care bill would require Medicare recipients to discuss their end-of-life plans with doctors.

For liberals supporting far-reaching changes to the nation's health care system, it was another sign that months of negotiations have been a one-way street. It's time to move on without Republicans
    (They're starting to get it).

There's absolutely no point in trying to negotiate with the "party of no". They have made it clear that they are going to oppose anything Obama proposes.....so screw them.
Obama needs to realize that having a few Republicans on board to make him "look better" is less a priority that getting meaningful healthcare reform passed.

The Democrats can do this without 1 Republican vote. Its time for the Democrats to grow a spine and get to work.
Instead of trying to implement yet another national system (that I am against period), why do we not first try and fix the one of several similar broken systems first. Why keep adding new systems when none of the current systems work properly? More doesnt mean better...

And, since the money was pissed away on union raises and Liberal wet dreams from the past 30 years, it hasn't had the desired effect. In some cases it did the opposite of what it was intended to do. It's incredibly stupid to think that the stealfromus package did anything to help the economy.
and yet economic indicators show numerous signs of recovery.....your worst nightmare.

Sometimes when the current ones don't work, it's time to get a new one.

Um, noooooo, they don't...LOL!!!! The Cash-4-Clunkers program even flopped.

You can kiss it all good bye when they pass cap-n-tax.

I love how you constantly try to paint a program that has been wildly successful "a flop"

More people have participated in the program than even could have been hoped for. Americans are going back to work. Good paying manufacturing jobs are being saved.

But you keep up your efforts Apdst...it is better than the comedy programs on TV.

They've only paid out 2% of the C4C payments to the dealers. That's not the sign of success, my friend. Wanna make a bet on how many dealers go under because they don't get the money? Or how many of the C4C cars will get repoed?

Good paying manufacturing jobs are being saved.
Good paying union jobs are being payed off. Why did PBO send 2 billion bucks to Brazil for oil and gas exploration if he was so interested in saving American jobs?

I have no doubt the dealers will get paid and I doubt any dealers are going to go under. I think just the opposite. It probably saved a number of dealers.

As for you tired repo claims. Save it....you have nothing substantial to back it up and this barking dog is just getting old.

As for your "Brazillian Oil" strawman....its unrelated and completely a separate issue. However, perhaps a little thinking outside the box and seeking independence from Middle Eastern Oil with alternative sources might be a bit too much for you to comprehend.

Oh, look, C4C is already out of money, again.

All of the money authorized by Congress for the Cash for Clunkers program may already have been spent.

Late Tuesday, the National Automobile Dealers Association in Washington, D.C., released a survey of its members that estimated they have submitted claims for nearly $3.3 billion. The Cash for Clunkers program is only authorized to spend $3 billion.

Survey: Cash for Clunkers is tapped out

Like I said...its been a wildly popular program.

If it still had a ton of money....you would be arguing that its such a failure because people are purchasing.

    You guys are sooooo transparent.

Tell ya what, when 100% of the dealers have their money and there's not a bursting of this atificial auto bubble, then you can say I was wrong.
