Conservatives Now Outnumber Liberals in All 50 States, Says Gallup Poll

Wow... Hope & Change is now working in a way I can support.

Keep it up Obama, and maybe by 2012 republicans will control the senate, the house and the oval office.

.

:doh

Are you aware that there's a difference between party affiliation and self-identifying as a "liberal" or "conservative"?

No. No, you're not.

You should be, but you're not.

So, you are saying there are conservative dems... I can buy that. Nevertheless, it does the Repugs no good.

Tell that to those that oppose Obama's health care, and every other thing he's done.

.

For that matter, I consider myself moderate most of the time.

No, it actually does.

Again, if you had any understanding of political history, you would realize that there are large swaths of the country where people are registered Democrats (and have been for generations), but vote for Republicans every year.

Look at the numbers from your own poll. Here's a few breakdowns:

WV: 53% Dem, 33% Rep
KY: 52% Dem, 36% Rep
MO: 50% Dem, 35% Rep
TN: 47% Dem, 39% Rep
SD: 46% Dem, 40% Rep
PA: 53% Dem, 36% Rep

Now go compare those to the 2008 election results (or better yet, 2004) and let me know what you find.

So, you are saying there are conservative dems... I can buy that. Nevertheless, it does the Repugs no good.

I'll tell you who it does no good -- the party pushing the left-liberal agenda.

Most people that call themselves moderate, conservatives would call liberal.

And both sides would label a Moderate, as "Road Kill". Picture a Deer in your Headlights standing in the Middle on a Major Highway...Now, another Tractor-Trailer is coming from the opposite direction...The deer/moderate just stands there.

Both Trucks lock-up their brakes,,,while the poor little deer still hasn't the sense to move in one direction, or the other. :doh Both truckers now have to spend their extra cash, and time on a Truck-Wash. :(

More Americans are according to this poll, "Conservative", that is more so than liberal, an even moreso than "moderate".....

Is this in your opinion a backlash to Obama's seemingly failure after failure, or do you think it has more to do with the reflection that this country is indeed. Center-right?

What say you.

I think it has to do with the fact that many self-described conservatives define the term differently than Rush and Billo define it.

Bill o'reilly is not a conservative. Please discover for yourself instead of regurgitating daily kos opinionary.

Well take your pick of talking heads then. Rush and Sean Hannity. Many self-described conservatives have little in common with THAT brand of "conservative."

Why on earth would I read Kos
