I have no problem with discussing Medicare reform and the like, I also have no problem with a medical consult to seek said care earlier, two things though:
    1) The government should not be encouraging it
    and
    2) The last word should be either on the individuals part if they can make such or the immediate family member charged with doing so.
Neither side in an argument can find the truth when both make an absolute claim on it.

You could walk your own talk and lead by example.

Most people have supplemental policies from the same companies that insure the rest of us, to cover drugs and expensive procedures that aren't covered by medicare.

And medicare has its own issues. What's up with every old person and his dog getting a freaking scooter?

The world wouldn't be improved by Stekim suiciding. He works hard, pays taxes, and subsidizes a lot of these gradiose economic leveling schemes. If he offed himself, we'd be out another taxpayer. And we need all we can get.

Believe me, people would be so much better off in the last six months of life in hospice care at the end of life than the other way around.

I saw two recent examples--both women dying of CHF. One with hospice care and the other without.

Clearly, the woman with hospice care died peacefully and the other suffered much more.

Lots of people say that! I only stay alive for spite. Plus, I'm not really a danger to others. It's not my abject stupidity people need to fear.

While it's true that the same companies provide the coverage, they are different risk pools and completely different operational rules. CMS guidelines are very strict.

I don't know to be honest, could never figure out the reasoning behind that one.

Clearly, medicare needs to be more strictly regulated. Some of these people needing scooters should just get gastric bypass and lose the 300 pounds that make walking so difficult.
