Wider Role Is Seen for Rove in Firings of Prosecutors

Got to love the right wingers..

Investigating government corruption during a Republican government.. never!! unless its the Dems doing the corrupting of course. There was no wrong doing so no investigations is needed.

I am amused by your VERSION of the events. But alas, this isn’t a right winger/left winger issue.

There have been countless attempts to impugn Rove including a major multi-million dollar investigation into the Plame affair and yet, with all this not one charge has been filed.

There is nothing wrong with investigating wrong doing; there is a LOT wrong however with political hatchet jobs.

I would ask you the same thing I asked Devil; if, when the Democrats are done wasting tax payer money and NO criminal complaints or prosecutions come forth, will you still desperately cling to your notions about the Bush administration which will have been proved to be nothing more than political posturing and unjustified public incrimination?

Investigating a President for supposed corruption which then morfs into an investigation into his sex life... HELL YEA, lets spend half a billion dollars doing that!.. he is after all a Democrat. Most expensive blow job in history and you got only a lousy T-Shirt saying "Clinton lied" out of it.

Yet this was not what the Clinton affair was all about was it? It was about a President who exercised extremely poor judgment by having an affair with an intern and then lying under oath about it which also ended with his law license being suspended and him being disbarred.

In any company in the world, you would get fired for having an affair with your employees and for good reason. Lawsuits are the first one to come to mind. Abuse of power is another.

I cannot fathom how ANYONE with a modicum of honesty, intelligence and integrity can defend the actions of Clinton in this issue; but there you go again.

Right wing = hypocrites and the party of "NO" and double standards.

What irony watching someone like you claim others are hypocrites. Your efforts define hypocrisy.

Amazing.......A very long post with not one word directed anywhere near the subject of this thread.
Have any thoughts about Rove or politically based firings of US Attys?

What is amazing is your desperate attempts to suggest that taking my comments out of context to what they responded to is somehow a legitimate argument. I cannot say I am surprised by this based on your history here, but it is pathetic at best.

Come back when you have something more than mere trolling to debate.

Why anyone bothers to respond to Truth Detector is beyond me. This is not an insult to you, Devil--this is merely incredulousness on my part.

I think what makes me sad is that he seems to really believe his posts in here are relevant to the subject matter.

Americans certainly were fooled into rejected GOP politics; and now they have a $1.8 trillion deficit and mounting debt to thank for it all.

One thing is certain, the efforts of the Democrat and their willing minions in the drive-by media were successful in blaming Republicans for everything from Hurricane Katrina to warts. But alas, the reality is far different from the "perception."

I

I suggest you peruse this link The Raw Story | Kucinich presents Bush impeachment articles

which links to the 35 formal article of impeachment filed last June on the floor of the U.S. House of Reps. & tell me if those crimes aren't a bit worse than what Clinton did.

Rove is the poster-child of the fall of the GOP. They now turn to misinformation and labels, such as socialist, to try to save some shread of hope for their party. The sad news is, people are tired of hate mongering, they want answers. The GOP long ago gave-up providing real policies or answers to the problems facing America and rather resort to name calling, smear campaignes, and negative tactics. Take for instance the town-hall meetings over the healthcare reform. The groups causing the uproar are paid and funded by insurance companies, big surprise, huh. What do they suggest as an alternative? Nothing.

So, in a nutshell, Rove needs to be prosecuted for his illegal activity, and hopefully the sad past twenty or so years of GOP practices will be put to rest with him. As one Democrat famously said, "I'll make a deal with Republicans, if they stop lying about us, we will stop telling the truth on them."

Stop already and heed Aps's comments; your efforts to troll are merely a reflection of your own inability of even the most basic comprehension of what my response was regarding.

Carry on, dismissed, leave, auf weidersehen. :2wave:

Fascinating; there actually is someone who takes the lunatic rantings of Kucinich seriously.

But alas, this speech dated back to September 8th, 2008 has amounted to NOTHING even though Democrats control all of Government.

Most individuals with a modicum of intelligence would ask themselves; "why is it that if Kucinich's charges had any merit, Democrats have done absolutely nothing about them?" The answer is OBVIOUS to most; you appear to be one of the minority exceptions to that rule.

In addition, getting one's information from lunatic blog sites like "Raw" would explain why you have such warped opinions and suffer from a grasp of reality and facts.

Here's the prediction I made over a year ago; nothing will come of these lunatic Democrat attempts to impugn their political opponents because even the lunatics know that they have nothing credible in evidence.

This is merely an ongoing attempt to prosecute political opponents in the court of public opinion using a willing Liberal media to do their dirty work.

This coming from someone who supports a party that flatly lied to the American people in order to get elected.

They claimed that they would be more transparent; they haven't been and in some cases, are even more closed about their agenda.

They claimed that they would be more fiscally responsible; they lied, they have spent us into a $1.8 trillion deficit without a single honest debate on how they will pay for it.

They claimed that they would only pay as the go; they lied, see above.

They claimed the stimulus package if passed would stem the tide of job losses and provide incentives for economic growth; so far that is a myth.

They claimed that there would be a new coming together in bi-partisanship; not one bill passed so far and into the future could even be remotely considered anything but along straight partisan line in direct contrast with the previous administration; again, another lie.

They claimed that their policies would create 5,000,000 new highly paid jobs; six months into their program we have LOST 6.5 million. I guess this now means that in order to meet their promise, they now need to create 11.5 million new high paying jobs.

I find it fascinating to watch the contortions of Liberals who voted for the current cabal of morons that are now running the economy into the ground with criminal like irresponsible spending desperately defend what I consider the indefensible. But the FACTS suggest that it happens to be the people you are desperately trying to defend with such emotional hysterics who are the liars in this debate, not the Republicans.

Let’s face it, the facts certainly do not support your emotional hysterics about the “evil” Republicans and I believe that once the media and Democrats can no longer fool the American people about their inability to govern responsibly, they will be the ones once more wandering in the political wilderness.

I'll take this as a concession you have nothing to offer except parroting DNC talking points without any facts to substantiate your comments.

Carry on. :2wave:

Looks as if it is going to investigate possible criminal activity. You disapprove of that?

I think we should address criminal activity when we find it, but how many failed investigations have there been?

What can happen when we try so hard to find wrongdoing, and it is revealed that none existed, we have to find a culprit. Just ask Scooter.

The last 'investigation' trumpeted by the NYT and other liberal rags was the secret national defense meetings.

These turned out to be focused on the eradication of selected terrorists. After this was revealed to the public ( and liberals tested the waters, of course), we never heard another word about it.

Seems Americans approve of national defense, Go figure.

Our current administration does everything in secret. The promise that all important meetings , particularly on the Health care issue, "will be shown on C-Span" has turned out to be a blatant lie, as with nearly all promises made to anyone about anything.

My point was that if there were going to be investigations going on now, and we are going to spend tens of millions of dollars oin them, we ought to be looking into the in-our-face corruption that is happening every single day.

Let's just take a look at the secret agreement that he made with Big Pharm. The overt 'pay to play' nature of that deal is nearly an impeachable offense.

If we want to travel back in time in the pursuit of corruption, why not go back to the mass-murder of American citizens by bill clinton. I can't think af any other pres. who can claim that he was abloe to shoot and burn women and children and walk away unscathed.

And, while we are at it, let's take a look at the whole 'serial rapist' thing.

Says Karl Rove today

Judiciary Democrats had California Rep. Adam Schiff doggedly ask me about four-year-old phone logs, emails, meetings and conversations. What did the committee discover?

Judging from the evidence released, it uncovered facts that show that my role in the U.S. attorneys issue was minimal and entirely proper. I did not conceive of the idea of removing certain U.S. attorneys, did not select those to be removed, and did not see the lists of U.S. attorneys Justice was considering to replace. I had no idea who was on the final list until Justice sent it to the White House in November 2006. No fair-minded person can review the thousands of pages of documents and testimony and conclude that I drove the process.

And Karl Rove is such an honest person. (sazerac, my eye rolling is at Rove and not you.)

It's clear to me that this was just another of the far left's bull**** slander attacks that turn out to be lies.
