Scrap Health Care Reform If It Adds To Deficit, U.S. Voters Tell Quinnipiac University National Poll; Voters Disapprove Of Obama's Handling Of Health Care
August 5, 2009 -

American voters, by a 55 - 35 percent margin, are more worried that Congress will spend too much money and add to the deficit than it will not act to overhaul the health care system, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today. By a similar 57 - 37 percent margin, voters say health care reform should be dropped if it adds "significantly" to the deficit.

By a 72 - 21 percent margin, voters do not believe that President Barack Obama will keep his promise to overhaul the health care system without adding to the deficit, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University national poll finds.

American voters disapprove 52 - 39 percent of the way President Obama is handling health care, down from 46 - 42 percent approval July 1, with 60 - 34 percent disapproval from independent voters. Voters say 59 - 36 percent that Congress should not pass health care reform if only Democratic members support it.

The two things I find interesting in this poll, is how the independent voters see things, and the fact that people don't want this thing if it is only supported by democrats. That tells me, that the American public trusts republicans on economic matters more than democrats... Which of course makes perfect sense.

This is good news; it indicates that Americans are starting to get their brains back, however, I disagree with this comment:

I think it is more illustrative of Americans starting to comprehend what $1.8 trillion dollars is and the idea of adding another few trillion rightfully scares the crap out of them.

The reality is starting to dawn that regardless of all the denials, obfuscations and lies being spewed by the Democrats, taxes are going to have to be substantially increased to pay for this mess with NO observable improvement in the economic malaise that currently grips this economy.

Could the tide actually be turning against deficit spending? I'm not holding my breath just yet, but this is encouraging. The way we spend is completely irrational. If a private citizen treated credit the same way Washington does they couldn't get financing for a pack of gum

Every estimate says it wll not only add to the deficit but along with the Cap and Trade plan they will contribute to the complete collapse of the whole economy.
The opposition to the "Obama I Don't Care About Your Health Plan" is being blamed on organized protesters putup to it by the Insurance Industry and the Republican Party. What this Administration along with Pelosi don't want to admit is the American people know more about his terrible plan than any member of Congress and they hate it. Obama. Pelosi and others are lying to cover up the facts because the truth hurts their Specialist agenda and way too many of their disciples are falling for the propaganda.
Read it for yourself. Get informed, get involved and make a difference.

And to think that -some- people tell us that if you oppose The Obama's plans, you want America to fail.

Anybody remember back when, every once in a while, you'd hear the phrase "pay down the national debt?" What a quaint notion! Hahhaha....ha...ha......ha............ha........ha.....

I don't think it's possible for us to do that.

Debt based currency has a hard time doing that.
It sucks.

And dissenters have been deemed "astro turf" and "manufactured anger".
Reminiscent of "right wing terrorists" ie Tea Parties.

They refuse to see what is really happening so they dismiss and use
condescending language to negate our voices.

Maybe its time to stop swigging all that Kool Aide.

Here's what the DNC thinks of citizens who voice their opinions. They are now officially campiagning against over the half the American population.

I sick to damn death of the Dims (no spell error) and there lies.
Obama in 2003 said he wants a single payer health plan and they are running adds claiming it he never said it, and I know I heard him say it over an over again. I heard Barney Frank say it clearly.
It will lead to rationed health care that will not only contribute to a faile economy but KILL PEOPLE and Obama knows it.

It is possible to do it; but you will NEVER get there with politicians who always spend much more than they take in and argue that we must do it to save the children, save the poor and save minorities.

They were just repeating what you guys said if people opposed Bush's plans they were for the terrorists. Sucks when the tables get turned on you huh?

No sir, it doesn't suck. It's music to my ears.

Having the democrats, the press and the Obama administration attacking those who oppose government health care and runaway spending, by calling them "mobs" and "kooks", is going to be the nail in the coffin of the progressive movement.

According to Rassmusen, Gallup, Quinnipiak, and even CBS and the NY Times, those "mobs" represent the majority of the American people. Those who protested when Bush was in office, were a bunch of fringe kooks, who did in many cases, side with terrorists and America's enemy.

So to all you hard core liberals, please do me a favor and call your representatives in Washington, and tell them to keep getting in front of the cameras and attacking the protesters as often as possible, because it will speed up the process of getting the democrats out of power.

May I suggest the phrases "Tea-bagging racists", "Angry mobs" and "Astro-turfing"... The majority of the American people to whom this label applies to, will show their appreciation in 2010.

Wow! Those numbers are amazing and to think that about six months ago, President Obama was on cloud nine.

You REALLY think that?
If so, it speaks volumes.
