It's highly unlikely this particular facet of our countries relations affected the defense situation either way though, which is why I made that judgement call in this case. I will say that if they get out of line with security, then we will deal harshly with them and swiftly, at least I hope that would be the case.

Neither side in an argument can find the truth when both make an absolute claim on it.

I think we should have left them there. After all they did break the laws of another country. It is not our place to intervene. I agree the punishment was overly harsh but they did admittedly break the law.

    hello

the 23 million "citizens" of north korea, each weighing an average of about 80 pounds, are important, too

TRY not to forget about them next time you swoon for an american pol/tv star
Just come out and tell us what you think Kim got.

i'm not in a position to know

i know what i believe he got, it's the only thing that makes sense

but if i speculated i'd be torn apart by political foes, i'm not that stupid

    and speculation is for gossips

i DO KNOW, however, that kim got SOMETHING

and it was something he VALUED

and it was something it was in HIS interest to keep SECRET

kim usually CROWS, now, doesn't he?

you can put the pieces together, you're very smart

thanks for asking, it's certainly a fair question

So let me get this straight: you're so afraid of being ridiculed for what you think he got, you're not telling? I think he got a visit from Bill Clinton, which was bribe enough for him.

Yes but why did he want a visit from Bill Clinton? Just because he likes him? Obviously Kim gained something from this. I honestly don't know what he gained but he must've gained something.

Close. He believes he got something of value from the visit. It remains to be seen whether he actually did, though I find it highly unlikely he gained anything that is harmful to US interests.

i'm afraid of nothing (that could conceivably occur in a chatroom)

i don't know what kim got, no one does (except kim and bubba and obama and hillary)

    why should i guess?

    guessing is for games

an autographed glossy is pretty cheap, i don't believe the tiny tinhorn holds it very dear

i don't really care what you think kim got

why do you care so much what i think?
