However, I dare you to show me where any of the formentioned have, even remotely, suggested, wish, cheered, pushed, hinted at, or otherwise condoned anyone doing harm to the president. Looking forward to hearing back on that one.
None of the aforementioned Conservative TV/radio personalities may have said it, but they certainly don't do much to quail the fear and anxiety of their listeners. If anything, they want them pissed off so that they'll do "something". What that "something" might be none of us knows. The hope is they just get more involved with politics or a hot-button issue they're passionate about and take a political stand against it, i.e., write their Congressman, form a protest rally (i.e., a Tea Party ), start a petition. But I'm willing to bet if President Obama...let's just say if an attempt was made on his life...not one of them would mourn for him.

God help this country if anything did happen to that man, this nation's first African American president. And please, don't let it happen at the hands of a white man!! OMG!!! Talk about a race war. The LA/Watts riots would look like a peaceful demonstration in comparison.

Don't patronize me. I know of not one thing former President Bush did on the domestic front that was worth a flip. The man spent the better part of his 8-yrs in office dealing with the war effort on two-fronts. He didn't have time to give much thought to domestic affairs. Nearly everything he did was consumed by foreign affairs.

But, they never said it, or even hinted at it...right? Aside from that, all we have is your fearmongering, because you basically hate their politics and will say anything to discredit them. Since when is a protest, or a petition considered an incitement of violence? That's just goofy.

Now, that, I can agree with 100%. It would definitely get ugly.

Well, you can't say that it's all Bush's fault if you have nothing to support that claim.

Unless and until one of them says, "someone really needs to assassinate the president," or words to that effect, they have no responsibility whatsoever for what their listeners do. For you to imply that it is somehow up to them to "quail" their listeners' fears is ridiculous.

And how would you know whether they would mourn for him or not? You haven't the first clue what they would say or do in that situation.

Why should they have to? It's their job to get ratings and keep the numbers up, not worry about what some nutcase with a screw loose is going to do.

If anything, they want them pissed off so that they'll do "something". What that "something" might be none of us knows.
I think you are giving them far too much credit.

The hope is they just get more involved with politics or a hot-button issue they're passionate about and take a political stand against it, i.e., write their Congressman, form a protest rally (i.e., a Tea Party ), start a petition.
And what is wrong with any of those things? People should be more active in politics.

But I'm willing to bet if President Obama...let's just say if an attempt was made on his life...not one of them would mourn for him.
    Yay! More baseless claims.

God help this country if anything did happen to that man, this nation's first African American president. And please, don't let it happen at the hands of a white man!! OMG!!! Talk about a race war. The LA/Watts riots would look like a peaceful demonstration in comparison.
I do agree with you here. I'm sure there would be a tremendously huge race war.

My fearmongering?!? Listen to yourself. Not one of my post has ever been said to equate to a "the sky is falling!" montra Rush, Hannity, Liddy, Levin, Colter or any of the other mainstream Convervative talking heads have done since President Obama assumed office. It wasn't me that said, "I hope he fails". You say something like that and how else do you expect your listeners to take his words or the meaning behind them? Sure, Rush has come back and said what he meant was "I hope his 'policies' fail", but once that genie's out of the bottle that is his big mouth, the people who make up his die-hard listening audience jumps on it and runs with it. Add to that all the against every one of President Obama's policies or his initiatives to turn things around in this country...

    C'mon!

Levin has taken a page out of Rush's playbook (or is that the other way around since Levin is older and has been on the air longer) where he'll slice and dice audio soundbits and give his commentary in between to fit his conservative ideals. These people will say just about anything to play on the fears, anxieties, mistrust, stress level and utter dispair their listeners are going through in the hopes they will do something. What exactly would that something be...? Only that individual knows, but if those fears and discontentment pings on the wrong person's ear it could be disasterous for this nation!

You just said that republicans are wishing for and encouraging people to kill the president. If that ain't fearmongering, then I don't know what is.

I don't think so. It's no different that a newspaper printing false information. Of course, it's all opinionated to a high degree, but my point is politically motivated talk radio - be it Conservative or Liberal - do that same thing: play to their listening audience.
And how would you know whether they would mourn for him or not? You haven't the first clue what they would say or do in that situation.
My "opinion" of how said Conservative talk radio hosts/hostesses may or may not react to the death of a sitting president should it happen is based strictly on the distain they themselves project to their listening audience. From that perspective, I have no doubt they wouldn't lose too much sleep over it. I pray to God I'm wrong, though. I'd hate to think anyone who claims to be an American citizen and love their country so much wouldn't be saddened that their country's leader has passed be it of natural causes or at the hand of a mad man.
