Report: Former President Clinton Heading to N. Korea for Talks on Jailed Journalists

Report: Former President Clinton Heading to N. Korea for Talks on Jailed Journalists - Political News - FOXNews.com

SEOUL, South Korea -- A South Korean news agency says former President Bill Clinton is heading to North Korea to negotiate the release of two detained American journalists.

Yonhap news agency says Clinton is on his way to Pyongyang, citing an unidentified high-level source. Yonhap said Tuesday that when Clinton arrives he will enter negotiations to win the release of the reporters. It is not clear when he will arrive.

The reporters, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, were sentenced in June to 12 years of hard labor for entering the country illegally and engaging in "hostile acts."

This is wrong in so many ways I can't even begin to started. Mr. Clinton should decline and explain to Mr. Obama that we do not negotiate with North Korea untill they release the two American's Actually if Mr. Obama had a back bone he would have made it crystal clear to North Korea that htey have two choice release them or face Military Actions.

"release them or face military action?" You would go to war over two journalists? What a silly thing to say.

Meanwhile, Clinton will probably bring them home on his plane. Then we can have a conversation about your "backbone" versus actually getting results.

How's that " We don't negotiate" mentality working? This has got nothing to do with backbone Obama may or may not have. This has got more to do with who NK is willing to talk to. If it's Clinton, so be it. I'd rather he did it than giving NK the satisfaction of being able to show the world he manipulated our president into meeting his terms.

    BS!

"billy the clinton" is just on a "tail" hunting expedition. Gee, I wonder what the quid pro quo will be for those two reporters if billy the clinton gets them out of NK?
I came into this world fighting, screaming and covered in someone else's blood. I have no problem going out the same way.

Face military action? I do hope you will be the one to sign up first? Oh, and do you also mind if we tax the *$&# out of you as well, as I think we still have a few trillion left to pay for Iraq.

I think sending Bill Clinton was a brilliant strategy. He has an ability to connect with people that should be used to our advantage.
