I don't see a problem with this. This country has a slight problem with parents raising their children to become undeducated depressives with anxiety issues because they didn't bother to send them to school or feed them properly. I know a fair few people who had parents like this and they're all unemployed, ambitionless and on a variety of meds. If the state can implement some stability in the lives of these children then I'm all for it.

I will have you know that I am underemployed and that I have many vague and mostly unrealistic ambitions, thank you very much.

So do I. But at least we have ambitions.

Do nothing at all? No. We should take their children, put them up for adoption and require the miscreants to go on mandatory birth control to stay out of jail, or receive public assistance.

I have zero interest in keeping criminal or highly dysfunctional families intact.

These kind of families deserve NO LIBERTY when they take away the liberty, of the law abiding older and vulnerable members of the community.
Just who the hell do you think you are to be able to levy liberty upon people or not? You're not god, you don't get the say. Everyone in this country gets liberty, everyone in this country should be protected and have their rights upheld to the maximum. If they commit a crime, then fine; due process of law. But till that point, your not the god of this world and your definition of who "deserves" liberty doesn't matter.

You're right, I do want freedom. An equal system. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. If you can get a conviction in the court of law; then you can enact government force against the rights and liberties of the individual. Until that point, you're talking tyrannical bull****. You don't want freedom, you want a controlled society where people you like are not hassled and hindered; but people you don't like are. We did that before. We fought a war over it. Grow up.

Or take the inevitably easier option and put them into social services, where they'll statisically vanish into a system that creates criminals, drug addicts and thugs. God bless loveless, state-sponsored mashed together families. Adoption is a damn difficult thing to partake in.

Nearly all families put on these programs are serial offenders. Most people get numerous warnings before they're punished to the full extent of the law. They do over here, anyway.

I also noticed you question his ability to decide who has liberty and who doesn't yet you do the exact same thing in your post.

Well then your abilities at perception aren't well honed this morning. For I didn't put qualifiers for liberty, I said everyone should have it. He wants to actively deny it to a group of people he doesn't like because they do things he doesn't like. If there's a law broken, rights infringed on, then take it to court. If you haven't done any of that, there is nothing you can justly do to infringe upon the rights of that individual.

Cool, Britain is becoming like one of those extremely socialists governments in the science fiction movies that monitor every move you're doing in life.
That's awesome as long as it stays in Britain.
